Amazing view, absolutely beautiful. The Dine (Navajo) People consider this place very sacred. It has a huge significance in the rich history of the tribe.
It can be seen from all over especially, from the highway, this mountain is enormous as it is beautiful.
It runs along a couple of rivers that eventually reach the backside if Lake Powell and eventually feed into the Colorado River.
Not much to do here, other than take a few pictures, you might run into some locals that reside here, maybe see a ceremony or two, some folks on horseback.

Read moreThis will be the first of two viewpoints while traveling north on Lakeshore Drive before reaching the Wahweap Marina. This pullout on the east side of the road provides for a much closer look of Lake Powell and the backside of the Glen Canyon Dam. There is a fairly good size parking lot with four oversized parking spaces. At the viewpoint, there are two small, covered pavilions, each with one standard-sized park bench to sit on and enjoy the view out of the summer sun.
