Arelis Celebration Hall — Local services in Palmview

We had our wedding here this past weekend and though it is a beautiful venue inside we were left very much disappointed with how things unfolded at Areli’s celebration hall the day of our event. We booked a year ago so some packages may have changed… but if you plan to book your event here we recommend getting things specified and written in a contract or in writing somehow so you won’t have the same experience we did. Also, staff isn’t too approachable.

We paid for the unlimited bar ($2500) with an additional cocktail hour. We were told that our guests would be able to order “whatever they’d like” yet the day of the event the only option was cheap tequila to make Paloma’s and tequila sunrises. Anything else would result in our guests being charged $$ for their drinks. We were also told signature cocktails could be made but were shocked when the night of our event they didn’t have the stuff to make them???? All our guests were charged for water bottles and told by waiter that they either only had “ague de la llave” OR “we don’t have tap water”. All our mixers were charged (topo chico, sodas, ect) & so was beer…OHH and so were shot cups lol. We were left with an almost 3k tab ON TOP of an already 2.5k “unlimited bar” charge. Very disappointing bar that was over hyped by Eddie. I’m also shocked that a venue charges $2 per water bottle!? We were never informed that water would need to be purchased and never given the option to bring in water for our guests. We asked for servers to pass drinks out throughout the night but were told multiple times by our guests that they never came around and/or they never brought out drinks. Long story short, we paid almost 6k for a horrible, cheap, poorly run alcohol bar. Don’t fall for the hype!!! We regret not bringing in an outside vendor for our bar :(

We were also told the day we toured this venue that little details like bathroom necessities would be included. This was a lie too. Had I known these things weren’t included I would have brought some items for my guests. We were also told by many guests that toilets weren’t flushing.

Overall our guests loved the decor, the food, and the cake. Main complaints were the staff being rude, the BAR, &...

I can’t believe what kind of people would give Eddie these bad reviews recently...I recommend 100% this venue for anyone looking to have a memorable event. It's a beautiful venue!! Eddie and his staff are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable and will take a lot of stress off your back while planning your venue at no extra charge. Eddie and his staff are very professional. Eddie was very clear about the budget detail, and Venue requirements and our attendant consumer information which included the types of drinks that we requested to give to our guests. We also requested additional services and he was very direct about the increases at all times. I can tell by my experience with Eddie he is very trust worthy and very honest. And Eddie was at my venue from the beginning and throughout the entire night, this was the first time I saw an owner at a Hall doing that. His prices were reasonable and he provided different options. Our expectations were met at 100% and it was worth the price for the event. I had three live bands and Eddie made it work at no extra charge to coordinate that. WOW!! My venue was over packed to the max and everyone that attended had a blast no complaints and they also had mention that the service was the best. I have gone back a couple of times after my daughter’s 15th party and I saw the best service like always. The best in the Valley!! My daughter will always cherish her 15th party event. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation for the incredible job Arelis Event Center did in making our wedding day truly unforgettable. From the first moment we met with Eddie, we knew we had made the right decision in choosing Arelis Event Center as our venue. I cannot thank Eddie and his staff enough for making our wedding day so special. They went above and beyond in every aspect of the planning and execution, creating the wedding of our dreams. The attention to detail and level of professionalism shown by the entire staff was truly outstanding. The decorations were stunning, and the food was absolutely delicious. We especially appreciated the open bar, which kept our guests in high spirits throughout the night. We cannot thank Christian, our wedding coordinator, enough for his incredible work. He went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran smoothly, and we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of our wedding. We were able to simply show up, have fun, dance, and enjoy the night of our dreams. Overall, we are so grateful for the wonderful experience we had at Arelis Event Center.
