Rodger, the appointment setter, was rude and the tech did not know what he was doing. He was opening the bottom of my dryer when my light is at the top. When I pointed that out, he walked off the job. When I called back and tried to get a different Tech, Roger would not let me talk and talked over me. He said we needed to "part ways". So then I called Davis Appliance and they came right out and knew what they were doing. Davis only charges $79 service callI Independent Appliance charges $95.

At no time did I disallow the tech to look at my dryer. He had full access to my dryer but he opened the wrong end of it. The problem was with the light at the top of the dryer. He was opening the bottom. I pointed that out that he was opening the wrong end of the dryer and then he got smart alecky. That's what he walked off the job when I told him I did not like his attitude. When I called Roger the second time he would not let me talk. He talked over me the entire time. They are posting lies on this page. Yes, the other four times they came out I was happy with them. When I made this appointment I told him I did not get up until 11:00 a.m. They made the appointment 10:00 to 12:00. I said well it needs to be closer to 11:00. But I made sure that I was going to get up by 10:00. At 10 minutes to 10:00 the doorbell rang while I was still in bed. I do not appreciate people coming early then the set time. Also a phone call beforehand like Davis Appliance does. Then there are no surprises. If he would have called at 10 minutes to 10, I would have told him I'm not out of bed yet you need to wait 10 more minutes so I can get dressed. This happened to be my 78th birthday and it was completely ruined by this...

They made great promises but when it came down to it they got their money and I was stuck with a still broken dryer. I'm a single, disabled mom of 4 kids and JUST had a hip replacement. While in surgery, my son breaks down on our van so it's out of commission then next someday the dryer stops working. Belt came off, this guy made it seem cut n dry easy to fix ...they get in tear it apart and find $300+ wrong with it. I don't have that of course ..I can barely walk and I still get charged almost $100. I lost my van, my dryer and my hip in 4 days!! They couldn't waive the house call fee for that?! It's literally just me, 4 kids, and our only income is my disability. All I asked was for compassion and help. WWJD? We will let everyone we know what happened and not to use this company unless you just have money to throw away and we will keep y'all in our prayers that y'all find y'all's way to the lord🙏🏻 Thank you. Like I said, I'll pray for you. Well your comment wasn't 100% true at all, I told you I couldn't afford that and I was told you'd see what you could do for me and this was it. Wasn't supposed to even be up out of bed after my surgery and crying cause I'm in an impossible situation, in pain from surgery and it's obvious y'all are all about the money and NOT the community you serve. Deceptive Fees. You will pay more than they tell you. I called for a service call on my washer and was told that it would be $52 for a tech to come out and then I would be quoted a cost. I would be able to decide if I wanted to have my washer fixed. What they don't tell you is that you will also have to pay a flat labor fee of $75 even though the tech was only there for 20 minutes. At no point did during the visit did they say you will be charged $127 until he asked for my credit card.

RE: Owners Response The owner of this businesses response to my complaint of not having transparent prices is to say "wonder why you didn't repair it yourself" is childish. To some people $75 is a lot of money. The statement that was made to be about the $52 service fee was that this would diagnosis the problem and I would have the option to have the unit fixed. Based on the owners comments he is saying if we diagnosis the problem and it is an easy fix, you do not have the option to fix it yourself. You will be charged $75. The technicians comment while at my house when I challenged the fee was "I can't make any money off of only the $52...
