Cactus Day Camp has real energy & soul. The day begins & ends with spirited cheers & songs. Karyn Miller, the exceptional director, cares deeply about the safety of each child. She hires and trains amazing staff. These counselors, who have spent at least one year in college, consistently make certain that children are wearing plenty of sunblock, are staying hydrated and are not spending too much time outside in the Arizona heat. Karyn has put together a spectacular program with a great balance of indoor and outdoor activities. The camp programs are so creative with: Cactus Book of World Records, water days, overnights, casino day, the hot dog man and so much more. My kids, who will spend their 4th summer at Cactus, come home happy and exhausted from running around, doing archery, swimming and water play and rock climbing. They cannot wait to give me their dream catchers, necklaces, bracelets and other cool art creations and to share the camp songs and cheers. They also beg me to let them ride on the camp van since they have great memories of this experience before the camp moved closer to where we live in Paradise Valley. They miss being with the amazing counselors continuing the camp day with songs, cheers and games and sometimes falling asleep on the drive. At Cactus Day Camp, there's a real sense of belonging and loyalty where campers want to return as Counselor Aides and Counselors. My son Gavin will be returning to Cactus Day Camp for his fourth summer. This has been an incredible experience for him! He speaks of camp months after it ends and begins looking forward to it again in Spring! The activities at camp range from archery, swimming, nine square, golf, basketball, soccer, Arcade games, martial arts and so many more fun activities to list.The camp owner and program directors, Karyn and Kaitlyn have hired a group of counselors with so many positive qualities.They are energetic, positive and are amazing role models for the children.Cactus Day camp provides the perfect setting for fun as well as a place to practice social skills, learn from others as well as gaining new skills. Gavin has created all kinds of new friendships at Cactus Day Camp.He adores the special events that take place on Fridays including Olympics, Water days and loves climbing the rock wall. The staff standards are quite high which is so important to me. I know Gavin is safe and having a terrific experience. Communication with all of the staff is easy and professional and they have become family to us. I know that Gavin is having a terrific summer and I am confident that he is safe, happy and gaining so many memories . My only wish is that I could go back in time and go to summer camp again at...

My daughter absolutely LOVES going to Cactus Day Camp! When camp ended last summer she was already counting down the days to return! Every day she is at camp, she is creating lifetime memories. The days are filled with continuous excitement including morning and afternoon pep rallies, archery, rock climbing, swimming every day, gymnastics, arts and crafts, and much, much more.

The staff at Cactus Day Camp are exceptional! They go above and beyond to make sure each child has an amazing camp experience! Karyn hires the best of the best counselors and staff each year. She looks for staff members who are outgoing, energetic, helpful, kind-hearted, and caring to spend the summer with the outstanding children at CDC! I know my daughter is well taken care of and having a blast each day with the amazing staff. Cactus Day Camp is definitely the best go to choice for amazing summer fun!
