Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Pardeeville

We definitely believe in shopping locally. I have always told others that if we don't, we will lose our small town stores. We have shopped at the the PIG in Pardeeville for 35 years. We have a family of five, of course now or the kids are gone, but we still buy plenty. Sometimes we drive home, unload all our groceries, then find out there is a mistake. Sometimes it's small and we don't bother to make the drive back to the store. Sometimes it's a big mistake and we do drive back, also now, you must have the receipt. Last night, my husband shopped and spent about $80.00, after he got home he realized a large mistake. This morning he returned to justify the mistake. He complained about the mistake and also the hassle of extra time and gas to return to the store. He said it happens often. He commented on the Better Business Bureau, and filing a complaint. The manager, that was doing the return, told him. MAYBE YOU SHOULD SHOP SOMEPLACE ELSE! Then he purchased another $40.00 worth of groceries. When he came home and told me, I became very upset. Was in the store on Tuesday getting things for our camping trip. On my way out the store I seen an employee yelling at a young man working for Pepsi outside in front of the store as we walked out! I felt so sorry for the young man, I went back in to talked to him gave him my number, because I heard the woman say she would call his boss and only speak to them. I myself have been in that position at work and it's not fun. That young man called told me today he was no longer allowed in the store and was written up at work for it! There not much I can do but felt I needed use my voice and write this review and maybe her conduct will be looked.I'm not sure what was going on before but the way that employee was speaking to him was...

I am not sure about shopping here again. The customer service left a lot to be desired. We had something left behind because it wasn't handed to be as the cashier bagged it. Then when we got home and saw it wasn't with us I called right away and they stated it was left behind. I said that I was on my way. When I got there I was told they were back o the meat counter because they didn't want to leave them out. Ok. I had to go get them myself and then I see they were on the meat counter for sale!.If I had driven a 45 minute round trip drive to pick them up and they weren't there.
