Does not follow thru with what they say they will do. When Richard was confronted on the phone he said what he wanted to say and then doesn't allow you to respond and simply hangs up on you. So much for a mom and pop family business. No integrity, disrespectful and acts like a keyboard warrior. I'm sure if we were face to face he wouldn't have the same attitude. Beware of this man smiling and shaking your hand at the hamfests. Say what you want about the big businesses but they have never treated me like that.

Update: It is funny how Richard, the owner, doesn't say anything about how he treated me, but only mentions he sells radios..... HIs website did show a new radio available. I called and asked if they happened to have a used one or a demo/open box. His wife first said they only had the new one but then said hang on let me look. I heard Richard say they had an open box radio that wasn't on their website. I asked about taxes and was told she would put the open box radio on the website so we could see how much the tax was. Which she did once I put it in my cart. I asked about holding it for me and she said log out and let me get it off the website. I said I will call you back. When I called back the next morning, I was told they sold it overnight. Now Richard, the owner, says he only had the one new unopened radio for sale when I was told there were 2 radios, one new in the box which was on their website and 1 was an open box that was not on their website. Apparently they are willing to rip the tape on the box open so they can sell the item below Icom's minimum sale price. At least that is what he was going to do on this sale. Richard is right they apparently only had the one radio all the time even though I was led to believe there were 2. It was my first time inside the MTC store Tuesday 1/10/23. I was hoping to purchase a Micro SD Card. A very small selection and not what I needed. I did see a lot of fun electronic-candy for home or office use within my ninety seconds inside. I'm giving one star because upon entrance I immediately felt I was not welcome at all and after my inquiry the lady pointed to the section and walked away. A very dangerous intersection, entrance and exit. Be careful. My spouse would like this store but I will not go alone again. CQCQDX Do You Read Me. Over.

I stated in my review I immediately felt not welcomed upon entrance because of the way I was treated. The female associate looked at my apparal, saw I was in field clothes and made an instant judgement about who I was as a person. I don't know if the female associate was having a hard day or she always makes instant judgements about people by what their wearing. I liked the store, my husband would love this store. I'm sure when I'm dressed in my everyday day clothes I will be treated...

I'm a very new ham just 90 days in and my first radios were a couple HT's and a TYT9800 for base/mobile work. After looking at several upgrade options I settled on the Yaesu FT-991A.

I learned of MTCRADIO from Fred on the NCTC network and took a look into their Paris, TX operation. They came through better then imagined. Everything from extremely fast and safe shipping to kind follow up from Christine.

I've been playing with my new toy and enjoying all the new modes from WiresX to SSB and beyond. Loaded up HRD and tied in the USB and now have full operational control of the radio from my desktop. This radio is so clear on audio and easy to operate. I love the waterfall and ease of moving about the channels and various modes.

Haven't tied an HF antenna to it yet and just running on my Comet GP-6 but looking forward to coming back to Main Trading Company for my next Hamventure.
