Beaver Valley Golf Course — Local services in Patterson Heights

I’m not sure what it says when the bunkers are the best part of a course’s overall condition.

Every greenwide bunker was in immaculate shape. Unfortunately, the rest of the course was not.

As you get later in the golf season in September and after a dry August some rough edges should be expected. This held true here. The greens were in fair shape, with a few unrepared pitch marks on every green early in the morning. The tee boxes also showed a fair bit of wear and some broken tees. I believe I was the second to tee off today so both of these could have been addressed to start the day. The fairways were a mixed bag of needing cut per the pic attached or dried out, bald, and bare spots

The layout itself is a winner with a nice mix of shapes and lengths on the par 3’s and 4’s. The course played shorter than the card as several holes from the tips were the same as the whites, and several tee shots are downhill.

Some suggestions, add a ball washer or two on the course. I did not see any. While mature trees are nice to look at, there were several hanging branches in front of tee boxes that were complete obstacles from the tips. This was most noticeable on the par 3 4th, and par 5 14th per...

I will never return to this establishment. We came for a Mother’s Day brunch with our family. Well needless to say this did NOT happen. My husband is in a motorized wheelchair. Now he is not the smallest person, and his chair is extremely heavy. We go in to find a small elevator lift that could NOT lift him. They claimed that they used this lift all day now it decided not to work. For one you could tell the lift was NOT up to code and was not working properly. We even tried to get his chair only up with the lift and still wasn’t able to. My husband was and is still extremely embarrassed and distraught that he couldn’t enjoy a dinner with his family. They tried sending us to a different establishment at which they were totally booked. They were NOT sympathetic to say the least. Not only was the lift not working but there was a leak in the roof where the elevator is located. The tiles in the dining area were horrible with water spots as well. This was my first time playing and the course didn't dissapoint, even playing in fall. Everything was well maintained, fairways and greens were really nice. I really enjoyed the views overlooking New Brighton and Beaver Falls; it was cool seeing them from a completely different vantage point. It's a awesome course and I can't wait to play again and again. It helps it's only 10 minutes from my house. Staff was very friendly as well I can't say anything but positive things all around....
