If you're thinking of buying carpet or flooring here, don't do it unless it's already in stock at the store. We placed an order for carpet and delivery last week. When we ordered, we were told it would arrive the following Wednesday at the latest. We also prepaid for delivery and were told it could be delivered Wednesday when it arrived or Friday at the latest. Wednesday night we still haven't heard anything, so we called the store and were told that it arrived but they didn't get a chance to call us and that we should call tomorrow (Thursday) to schedule for Friday delivery. We call Thursday to schedule and are told that actually it hasn't arrived and that they have no way of tracking orders. Was told it could be that night or another 2 weeks.
I find it unbelievable that they would give you a delivery date so you can schedule an installation, but then have no way to verify when the shipment will arrive or if the date they scheduled is accurate. Called again Thursday evening and was told that it arrived that morning, but no one scanned it into their inventory. The clerk said that it was now too late to deliver Friday because they had already filled the schedule and that maybe they could fit it in on Monday.
Since we had an installation scheduled Friday evening, I declined delivery and was told I could instead rent one of their trucks Friday morning and take it home myself. This is no problem since it's the same cost as the delivery and I live nearby. I arrived this morning (Friday) to pick up the order...and they ordered the wrong carpet. So we waited 10 days, scheduled an installation, and rented a truck for nothing. Thankfully they refunded the truck, but the clerk at the return desk tried telling me that the carpet was my fault because I didn't make sure their employee ordered the right one and acted like she was cutting me a favor by taking it back....
Read moreHave shopped here multiple times leaving with a general a positive experience but recently I have been disappointed. After today's visit I will be driving somewhere else, especially when it comes to the lumbar department. I know people have their days, we are only human however I thought I would share my not so good experience this afternoon.
My boyfriend and I walked in today to buy a piece of plywood. Knowing they cut wood we asked a couple of older gentlemen who were just standing around if they could find someone to help cut the wood for us. (With it being one piece I didn't think it would be a big deal but boy was I wrong.) The two men immediately gave each other dirty looks followed by rude under breathed statements. They came over to us making sly comments about how they have other things they have been waiting to do all day.
The comments continued with the two men bashing their own co workers. The head of the lumbar department couldn't attend to us because he and other workers were all busy helping customers.
I want to state the fact that we were more than happy to wait for help and my boyfriend even told the two men "I am sorry if we are causing you an inconvenience." But they showed no remorse. It was clear they did not want to be there and even more clear they had no interest in helping us.
What it comes down to is this: the overall lack of respect, help and bad attitude the two employees provided completely ruined my point of view as a loyal customer and has dimished their brand value in my eyes.
The customer is ALWAYS the number one priority. And I think the Home Depot needs to take a deeper dive in...
Read moreI'm not the type of person to typically leave bad reviews because I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I feel others should be warned. We went to home Depot on 5/28 and ordered a fridge for delivery to the store. The gentleman said it would be there 6/6. Today on 6/6, home Depot called my husband to confirm the fridge was being delivered and to ask when he was picking it up. He said 3:30PM which they confirmed was good. He made the 45+ minute drive just for them to tell him that the fridge was not in. He got there later than he said he thought he would be yet no one bothered to call to let us know it wasn't there yet. The woman told him it would be in by 8 and they would call. It being about 4 at this point, my husband drove home. They called around 6:45 to let us know that it had been delivered. My husband gets to the store only to call and say, "You wanted a black fridge right? Because the one here is white." I look at our receipt, which has the color listed NO WHERE. I searched the SKU number to find, despite confirming over THREE times we wanted black, a white one was ordered. My husband told them of this and asked what they could offer for our trouble. Extended warranty, gift card, etc.? They offered a $25 gift card which doesn't even cover the gas wasted. We got a refund and will do any future business...
