I am writing this review as a public safety warning to all car owners in the area. The service I received at DRC Automotive was not just poor; it was negligent to a degree that put safety at risk and demonstrated a shocking lack of integrity. My experience began with a series of questionable upsells, culminating in a diagnosis that my 12V battery was completely dead and required a $550 replacement. I questioned this and had AAA test the battery on their lot. The AAA technician confirmed my battery was, in fact, at 100% health and needed no service whatsoever. This blatant misdiagnosis and grossly inflated quote should have been my first and only red flag. The far more serious issue involves a critical safety failure. My vehicle had a known, persistent fault in the ABS/braking system, with multiple warning lights on. After the lights temporarily cleared due to a battery reset, DRC took my $1,500 for other work, told me the car was "all set," and issued a valid NH state inspection sticker, certifying the vehicle as safe. Just ten days later, the exact same critical safety fault returned, proving the vehicle was unsafe the entire time. When I notified DRC of this, they denied all responsibility, offered misleading technical excuses, and refused to provide any form of resolution. Do not trust this shop with your vehicle, and certainly not with your family's safety. The combination of diagnostic incompetence (or dishonesty, as evidenced by the battery issue) and the shocking negligence of issuing an inspection sticker on an unsafe vehicle is unacceptable. I have wasted over $1500 and was left with an unsafe car and a worthless inspection. Avoid this business...
Read moreI went by there on a Tuesday requested a quote as they are very lack of education regarding Jeeps so my Jeep friend turned around and said that I snapped the u-joints and the ball bearing on the front driver side axle I asked him for a quote they told me $412 I said okay I'll bring it in Friday I bring it in that Friday Friday and low and behold didn't never even showed his faceon. Don kept coming in and giving me bad news oh no you need this so the $412 quote went up to $912 and on to that $1,302 after they had taken my money and turned around and said that it's unsalvageable that I need a front differential but it's would cost 7K not including labor which would be 9 to 10long and that my jeep was not valued and that my jeep was not valued for that price for that price so therefore I decided to bring it to my mechanic that I have been dealing with for over 20 plus years he put it on the lift at no charge first thing he caught which was very visible to me was the front passenger side that you joint was broke on top of the ball bearing now how in God's name could they have misse and on the passenger side u-joint was broken as well along with the ball bearing how in God's name did DRC not notices is beyond ridiculous I'm bringing it back to my mechanic to get the dry excuse me passenger side u-joint fix along with the ball bearing these people will rob you blind as you can see at my photos black and white explains the truth don't ever ever go there I would not recommend this place to my worst enemies they kept charging my credit card bill without even looking at the passenger sideu joint never...
Read moreI had multiple services done here and while most of the repairs performed were done correctly for a good price I did have one instance where I brought my own part in to be replaced and had explained that my differential fluid had leaked since we bought the car at a different business. I had explained that despite replacing numerous seals it kept leaking. When I received the car back I was told that the part I had brought in (cv shaft) was installed and a new seal put in. despite the other cv shaft being in decent condition (which is what I had wanted because I assumed it would fix my problem.) I had then left with my car and later on continued to have a leak in which I brought it to another shop for another opinion since I have had it "fixed"numerous times by another shop unrelated to this shop and my car continued to leak. When I took it to the last shop the mechanic had showed me that it wasn't leaking because of a seal or cv shaft but because the transfer case was cracked and there was a good chance it had been cracked since I purchased it due to us not having been in an accident etc. Which tells me when DRC did the repair on my car that the crack very well could have been visible when changing the seal and shaft. Had I know that I would of skipped paying for yet another seal replacement along with cv shaft and saved my money for the $800 replacment of my transfer case.. since the repair of my transfer case my car no longer leaks .they did have good customer service and refunded me...
