We didn't knew we were above the clouds as we had been driving for about 5 hours from Boise. Dress warmly before getting out of the car as the winds are very strong n chilling. There is a look out corner with a shelter where u can take cover. I had to really struggle n yank the car door very, very hard to close it. You will not regret turning off. We drove through in September when the wildfires in this area were pretty bad. You can tell by the haze. It is just a viewpoint to stop and rest. No restrooms. A great place for photo ops.
