Maricopa County Parks and Recreation — Local services in Peoria

Proceed with caution…Out of state visitors are not welcome at Maricopa County parks. We encountered three issues during our stay at Lake Pleasant: local homeless encampments were all over one of the local drug addicts stole our power cord, water lines, and water filter overnight staff were rude and seemed to dislike out of state individuals

To top it all off, when asked for a full refund…they only refunded $100 out of a $450 reservation fee. We did get it sorted, but the whole experience seemed sketchy.
