August 2025: I am happy to see many Bangladeshi items on their shelves. The quality is very good, as is the packaging and labeling. I hope they will continue to keep products from Bangladesh. Please bring some Bangladeshi vegetables as well please. Also, you can arrange some delivery to Macomb, Monmouth, Carthage and other surrounding dinh areas.
August 2020: I have been visiting this grocery store since 2019. Their products are great when they are fresh, but unfortunately, I haven’t been lucky most of the time — I often end up with items that are spoiled or close to rotten. They could improve by stocking more Bangladeshi items so that Bangladeshis living in the surrounding areas can find familiar products and enrich their Halal Muslim food options. That said, I still buy a lot of groceries, spices, and other items from here. Also, the owner and staff have always been cordial and friendly to me.
However, after they moved the store from their previous location to the new one, I’ve noticed a significant issue with their pricing. Many items now seem overpriced — for example, a product that used to be $10 is now priced at $12.99, even though other stores sell it for $10. What’s more concerning is that the price tags in the store are often outdated; when you go to the counter, the actual price can be much higher than what’s displayed. For instance, an item might show $4.99 on the shelf, but at checkout, they charge $6.00 or even $6.50. If you question it, they usually respond by saying, “This is the price; take it or leave it,” which is not a fair or professional way to do business.
I genuinely hope they address these issues, because this store is important and useful for many in our community. I don’t want to leave a harsh review, but I believe honest feedback can help them improve. I wish them success and hope they will ensure fair pricing and better product quality for...
Read moreThis place is has been around for a while now and we as a family have been shopping here for years. However, I think its necessary to address how poor their customer service is. The family that owns it are helpful when you need help to finds items. However, it is not okay to be rude or not be pleasant. When at the register they don't acknowledge you unless you speak their language or you are known to them. I went to the store this week and the owner (she) did not even acknowledge I was at the register EVEN though she was ringing my stuff up. Even after I payed she did not even say thank you or something pleasant. I noticed her having a conversation with other customers as she was ringing me up which is fine but its important to treat your loyal customers nice so they keep coming back. I would rather drive to chicago and get my supplies than to go here. Also, one of their employees ( middle aged Indian guy) always has so much attitude and definitely gives off " I hate being here and please don't talk to me" vibe. Other than their customer service I...
Read moreWent to this store this evening & left feeling unwelcome. I stop here from time to time for the great veggie selection but unfortunately I will not be back. I visited this store this evening with my African American boyfriend as I am Asian. At this time by the veggie are 4 other people and we are by the frozen stuff. Around the corner the owner comes & asks if we need help… we say we are just looking. He walks away to the veggie side but does not ask the 4 others if they needed help. It made us felt uneasy & did not like he he approached us singling us out from the others. I will not be back here. Just a tip for the owner: next time pls don’t blatantly single out certain customers, if you’re going to ask one person ask the others. Very...
