We (wife and two toddler children) drove 60 miles to partake of Le Peeps' breakfast as my wife was hearing good things. Food was superb and reasonably priced. Atmosphere extremely hectic and uncomfortable due to the floor-plan (espresso machines easily drown out table conversation on an immensely too frequent interval) and having insufficient space considering the number and frequency of eager patrons. The cleanliness and decor are appreciable. Staff was friendly, although shy of frantic due to the volume of traffic. Need a bigger venue given the popularity.
Only complaint beyond that of needing physical expansion is the perceived matriarch ringing out the customers. I believe she has no business interacting with customers. Very unfriendly, negligent, and dismissive. Too bad as the experience was such a (+) concerning the food and wait-staff.
Excellent menu including unique spins on traditional fare. Children's menu equally as impressive. Prices are commensurate with the likes of Perkins, Village Inn, Denny's, etc. The quality, however, far exceeds the aforementioned. Strongly recommend visiting this establishment. Quaint with a good balance of metropolitan. Just hope they entertain employing "managers" or "franchisee(s)" with better...
Read moreThis morning my boyfriend and I wanted to go treat ourselves to what we thought would have been a nice breakfast so we came here. Big mistake. The dish his biscuits and gravy came out in had dried up egg on the side of it so it didn't look clean. His side of bacon they want $3.49 for came out burnt and he felt like he was eating bacon bits. His over easy eggs had no yolk. We did have them remake those, they came out very quick and cold. We didn't want to ask a third time for his meal to be right. He didn't end up eating it. We didn't want to pay for his meal, and the manager proceeded to be rude and argue with us about it while he was applying the no charge. Tried to make us look like the bad people in the situation because our food sucked. He never apologized once. Just made an excuse "we make 500 plates a day." So that makes it okay to serve bad food? Could have been because we have long hair and tie dye. I'm sure if we were an older couple complaining he would have done nothing but apologize. It's okay though, it shows the true values of the owner and this place. Terrible food and service. 10/10 will never give them...
Read moreLe Peep is such a great place. As long as I have lived in Peoria, I just started eating at this place about a year ago. We have NEVER had a bad experience here!!! Even when they mess up they are very apologetic and go above and beyond to fix it and The food is always really good!! Today I ordered DoorDash from here. They missed something that I ordered, and when I called they were extremely apologetic and willing to do whatever I needed to make it right for me. They took ownership without making excuses and they fixed the issue immediately. I have been in the food industry for over 20 years and a lot of managers just try to throw something free at you and hurry up and get away from the situation. Very rarely these days do you come across GREAT managers and staff who genuinely care. This place has shown and proved that their #1 priority is their customers and they all do a great job!! I had to share this because too many times people only share bad experiences and this is one place that I have NEVER had a bad experience at and that should be...
