My recent visit to this soda shop left me utterly dismayed and thoroughly disappointed. Let's start with the owner—a person whose rudeness and insensitivity towards patrons with service animals was appalling. A colleague of mine, who relies on a service dog, was repeatedly bothered by the owner's offhand remarks and blatant lack of understanding. It's disheartening to encounter such ignorance and disrespect towards individuals who depend on these animals for daily assistance.
Moving on to the soda itself—overpriced would be an understatement. The drinks were exorbitantly priced for what essentially amounted to a basic soda experience. One would expect more reasonable rates for something as commonplace as carbonated beverages.
The state of the parking lot was another sore point. Potholes aplenty and a gravel surface that seemed more suited to a construction site than a public establishment. It was not just inconvenient but frankly unsafe to navigate, especially for anyone with mobility issues.
As for the location, it was far from welcoming. The overall ambiance was lacking, with an air of neglect that extended from the parking lot to the interiors. It certainly wasn't a place worth stopping at, let alone revisiting.
In conclusion, my experience at this soda shop was marred by the owner's disrespectful behavior towards patrons with service dogs, the overpriced beverages, and the dismal state of the parking lot. Save yourself the trouble and seek refreshment elsewhere where both the service and surroundings are more deserving of your time and money.
I mean honestly the shipwreck in the backyard has more integrity than the owner of this shop and brilliantly symbolizes the integrity of the staff.
Absolutely disgusting, I’m encouraging my colleague to consider legal avenues for the mistreatment by the sick, disturbed owner of this sugar water store.
I’m likely going to be reporting this store to appropriate food safety authorities given the cleanliness of the...
Read moreOn Tuesday, May 20, 2025, my friend Kathryn and I were visiting the Pt Reyes Beach area and found ourselves at the Inverness store. It was around 2 PM and we were really hungry… We went inside the store and saw that homemade sandwiches were being made on request. We both ordered a roast beef on sourdough and it came with two slices of cheddar cheese for me and two slices of Swiss cheese for her, also accompanied by fresh lettuce, red onion, tomato, and a pickle slice. We went outside and sat at The picnic table overlooking the estuary to eat our sandwiches, which were absolutely amazing! I am visiting from Vancouver Island in Canada, and after eating the sandwich, I went into tell the staff that it was the best sandwich I have had in five years! If you are moderately hungry, you could easily split one of these sandwiches with somebody as they are so big and delicious. Priced around 12 or $13 they were really good value for the cost and I would highly recommend these sandwiches to anybody passing through. By the way, they also had a selection of other types of sandwiches. Thanks to the Inverness store owner and their staff for a memorable sandwich and a memorable experience. Clarice...
Read moreUneven service but good sandwiches and snacks. Great location. First time I was here with my friends and the guy (owner?) was very friendly and the sandwiches were so good. Huge portions. Also they have a cool selection of snacks and drinks. It’s by the side of tomales bay so it’s a nice spot. I was looking forward to coming back- point Reyes is a nice place to ride bikes and eat sandwiches. Second time there and a woman (another owner it seemed) was kind of rude when I asked if I could park my van there while I biked if I bought something. She allowed it but kinda said she didn’t like it…. Fair- but they have a huge parking lot and almost no one in it. Got a sandwich and the guy at the counter was kinda rude also and put onions on it when i asked for “everything but onions.” Try to hit it when the friendly guy is...
