This is a great spot to learn some history about Petersburg and enjoy nature. The signage outlining the history of the fort is in pretty rough shape and I feel they could use better pictures of how the site originally looked. It makes you wonder what life was like all those years ago.

If you are a history buff, the place was relaxing and the scenery was beautiful, but they haven't put much into this as a go to tourist attraction. We found the Couthouse museum to be loaded with interesting history.

One of my favorite walks. I always find lots of wild life, there is enough tree cover for the illusion of seclusion even though it's in town, and it's up the hill from the hospital in case of injury! 9/10,...
