This place is a hidden gem. Great BBQ with a simple menu, basically Pulled Pork, Brisket, or Ribs. You can get the brisket and pork on/in a bunch of different ways. Handful of delicious sides that make you feel like you’re in the south. The owners/employees are very kind and made sure our food was perfect for us, and offered to bring it to our car as well. They did not have a tip jar nor ask for tip when we paid by credit card, however we wanted to give a tip and we did when they brought the food to the car. I recommend doing the same as you don’t often find service like this nowadays.

All the food was 9/10 or above, the prices were excellent and I hope they can keep them that level for as long as possible. To get a platter of meat and 2 sides for $14 is just too good of a deal. The pulled pork sandwich was phenomenal and didn’t have too much of a porky taste and held its sauce + smoke flavor.

Ribs were meaty and pretty much fall off the bone, they had an interesting glaze to them which was still delish. The brisket was a little tougher than expected but smoked so well that we didn’t mind chewing.

Take out only - a picnic table outside- but service was fast and friendly. This native Texan gives the tender, smoky brisket two BBQ sauce covered thumbs up! Green beans were fresh and cooked the southern way- low and slow with pork. Yum! My husband got the brisket baked potato which was as big as his head. Lots of brisket, jalapeno flavored cheese and a soft, delicious potato. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. I would give 4 and 1/2 stars if possible. My only disappointment was the generic, not -homemade potato salad. I will definitely be back to try the other meats and sides. Maybe they can get someone local to make good potato...

We came up to Dolly Sods for a day of hiking. After our hike we rode to Petersburg and found the twisted pig. So happy we decided to go into town. The BBQ was amazing! We ordered a pulled pork platter and a rib platter. The meats were cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and moist. The au graten potatoes were delicious. My husband loved the dirty rice.
