Y'all, I always dread furniture shopping. It's always so hard for me to decide on couches, tables, and such. One time, I lived in an apartment for a whole year with just one cheap grey couch and a couple of bar stools and a simple bed, convincing myself I didn't need anything more. It was a rental and I knew I was going to move in a year anyway so I didn't care. I thought, the less I had, the easier the move will be. This time, however, I moved into a house, and I was determined to make it comfortable and feel like home. I'm older now, and have no intentions of moving anytime soon.
Showroom: I walked in and was amazed at how clean and organized it was. Normally, I get overwhelmed by the options and get lost pretty easily (y'all know the massive furniture places I'm talking about where you get lost and frustrated because you can't visualize what you need or try any of the furniture?). But Living Spaces was amazing! One floor, open space, and the furniture was laid out in a way you can see visualize it in your home. You can even try the furniture! I sat on a few couches, testing them out.
Customer Service: I love that there was no pressure in being helped or pressure into buying anything. A sales associate asked me if I needed anything at the beginning, and I said, I'm just looking around for now, and they were very respectful of my time and space. I went around comfortably. When I finally decided on a purchase, I went up to the customer service design counter, and asked about financing and the steps involved in making a purchase. Jenna (or Jenny), I believe was her name (I'm so sorry if I got the name wrong!), and she was fantastic. She patiently explained the sales process, the financing options, and didn't pressure me into anything. I made my purchases, scheduled my delivery dates, and was on my way!
Delivery: The delivery folks were awesome! I appreciated their patience while I tried to figure out where I wanted my furniture, and they were kind to wait to make sure I liked where I had placed them.
The products: I bought two barstools, a dining table, a rug, and a couch set. While I love the dining table and barstools, I have to give a special shoutout to the couches: OMG! What a couch! I LOVE my new couch! My rear has been thanking me since the amazing movers delivered it to me! Honestly, this is by far the best couch I've ever had. I even spent most of the day on the couch, working remotely. At one point, I had to go to my office because I needed the monitors and I was sad to leave my couch hahaha! I feel like Goldilocks who finally found a couch that is just right! And the colour! It is so subtle, I love it! Goes well with my light flooring and rustic brown coffee table...
Read morePurchased a home in Austin and decided that we will live on the second floor as we remodel the entire first floor. We needed furniture as we only had two folding chairs to sit on. Stopped into the store to find furniture and was greeted when we walked in. Then they left us to do our own thing. They did not bother us until we asked for their help, which was huge in our book. Once we needed help, we were assisted by 3 ppl (one was in training in sales but she knew the store as she tagged and placed every piece of furniture in the store). We want to give a huge shout out to Kjolen, Francis and Jenna. Weâre from out of state and enjoyed some laughs about our accent and our tiny state. When it was time to get this order loaded in the system, Kjolen was quick to get our info and furniture selections in. They worked hard to help us find just the right pieces and at one point we were looking for a small and particular sized table. Francis found one and carried it across the store, so we could see it. We couldnât believe he would go out of his way to do that and cannot thank you enough for that. Emit also assisted us in the mattress department as well and ensured the mattress was the tight fit for our bed that we purchased. Emit also walked thru the final details of our purchase. I want to comment on Kjolen, as we had our grandson with us and she could see we were mindful of his upcoming nap time. Kjolen, youâre absolutely incredible. We were so thankful to have you. The teamwork mentality at Living Spaces was huge. They all worked together. There was no competition, just teamwork. They assisted and double checked each other to ensure accuracy. They were just wonderful. We do apologize for the abrupt finish as our grandson needed to get home but it was clearly not a problem for this team. Kjolen went thru the invoice, quickly and in detail, to get us on our way. It was 100 percent quality customer service and it didnât end there. They asked if we wanted our furniture today. Our furniture was delivered that night by two of the NICEST guys. They worked quickly and knew their jobs. They were polite, professional and friendly. They got all of the furniture we purchased into the house and up to the second floor with care. They assembled and cleaned up everything, taking the boxes out with them as they left. Just wow! I wish I had their names because they were awesome. Bottom line, we were glad we made the choice to go to Living Spaces and we will be back once our remodel is complete as we need 4 more rooms of furniture. We hope we get Kjolen and the same team of people as you all made a huge impact on...

I purchased the Levels 60" Upholstered Counter Bench from Living Spaces and was extremely disappointed with the quality. The bench arrived with numerous small holes in the wood, visible machine marks, and chips â none of which were shown or mentioned in the product photos or description online.
When I reached out to customer service, they told me that leadership had reviewed the issue and said these defects were ânatural wood characteristics.â That explanation feels misleading because the product description doesnât warn about these marks, and the pictures show a smooth, clean finish â nothing like what I received.
To make matters worse, when I asked about returning it, I was told Iâd have to pay a 10% restocking fee plus $59 for pickup, even though the delivery was free. Itâs frustrating to be charged for returning a product that doesnât match what was advertised.
Overall, this experience has been disappointing. The quality is not as represented, and the return policy feels unfair to customers. I expected more transparency and accountability from Living Spaces.
I received a response from Living Spaces about this review that sounded sympathetic and apologetic â likely written by an AI bot â but unfortunately, it didnât lead to any real resolution. Despite the kind wording, customer service was not helpful in addressing the poor product quality or the misleading description.
The response felt more like a scripted PR message than genuine customer support.
Itâs disappointing when a companyâs public replies sound caring, but the actual experience behind the scenes is dismissive and unhelpful.
Update: After further discussion with management about the ânatural wood characteristics,â they kindly offered to exchange the bench. I appreciated that gesture, as it showed an effort to make things right given the original productâs manufacturing flaws.
The replacement bench arrived a few weeks later, fully assembled; however, it appeared to have the same exact marks, holes, and wood chips as the first one â almost as if it were the same piece. It seems this particular design may consistently have manufacturing defects, which is disappointing for a $200 plus product.
For comparison, I also purchased another bench from Living Spaces for around $100 that matched my table perfectly and had no defects at all â great quality and craftsmanship. Itâs unfortunate they donât make a counter-height 60 inch version of that one.
Hopefully, Living Spaces will share this product feedback with the manufacturer to ensure future versions meet the quality...
