EXCHANGED DIAMOND FOR A FAKE. Took advantage of my elderly mother who lives paycheck to paycheck on disability. She’d always pawn her wedding band at the end of the month to make it through the last week. Pretty much every month, like clockwork. She had the diamond replaced on it a while back, for a larger karat, and even had the two separate bands soldered together in place for an “ok” price. She was a loyal customer for several years. By several, I mean at least more than 10. The replacement diamond was once beautiful and she was happy with it. She’s since pawned it back to them several times after getting the diamond replacement. I figured it just needed cleaned. And I guess they figured since she always came back every month, she wouldn’t notice that the diamond was switched out for a fake when she got her ring back. She needed money while away at her mother’s house and attempted to pawn the ring at a different shop outside of town and was told the bad news. Not sure how to resolve this issue, or how to take legal action but you can bet your ass I’m going to do everything I can to make sure this situation is blasted on every platform I can think of, and then some. I doubt legal action is even possible. But considering my mother’s condition and her age ,I’m outraged that this even happened. Thanks for helping with my ring! I had a ring stuck on finger for over a year and a half. I came in town to see my nephew in the NICU, but they wouldn’t let you in wearing jewelry. I was able to go to them, they cut my ring off, clean it, and resized it to my actual size. They were all soooo nice to work with! I was always scared to have it cut off, or if I could afford it but they were so reasonable. They fixed my ring the same day I came in to resize it so I could go back home with my ring.
