Clients of this gym: please ask this owner for a writing cancellation policy. A cancellation policy needs to be writing out and signed by you. A cancellation writing on a website can be change at anytime.
I will leave you to be the judge of this review. My membership fee was always due between the 28th. I received this cancellation notice today April 21st. Mind you, I also asked him ( see the text message). The owner has show over and over again that he doesn’t know how to communicate or deliver a message. He is just in for the money and nothing else. Definitely needs some training in communication skills among other kinds of training when it comes to be a good fitness influencer. I have nothing bad to said about the gym but I am a person that doesn’t support people that don’t deserve it based on how they are has a person. I have other reasons too of why I wrote this. My husband was the one that asked for the cancellation on his phone for both of our membership and the owner just responded with a sticker, like who does that. UNPROFESSIONAL. He should have confirm and acknowledge with words and added to the message what he recently added to his website. Before my husband cancel I READ the website and the words you can see in the yellow circle weren’t there. How I know this because I read the cancellation and it ended right before the sentence of “the only stipulation”. After this sentence this was added recently.
After review retaliation of the owner!!!!!!! Due to him sending me messages that I deleted the first portion because I was done answering him. He ended with the last photo I put. Like boy please, I am full believer of Jesus Christ and God. If you want to know more about what he is talking about go to his Instagram about and go the post he made about weight loss SCHEMES. I know people that had this procedures and I can guarantee you his opinion is not 100% accurate. To insinuate that I would even do anything to his gym is outrageous. I went over the papers I signed at the beginning and they don’t state nothing about the cancellation only on the website. WEBSITES CAN BE CHANGE AT ANY TIME. WAYBACK MACHINE IS A WEBSITE WHERE YOU CAN CHECK HOW A WEBSITE LOOK BEFORE THE OWNER SWITCHING IT. The picture with the yellow circle was send by him. WHEN I READ THE CANCELLATION ON THE WEBSITE those words WEREN’t there. He keeps thinking I cancel my membership over a post which is not true I cancel my membership because he offers a family discount and my husband wanted to cancel so I cancel mines as well because I wasn’t going to paid more. Keep putting like a I am the delulu one just because I said you need to deliver your messages in a more professional way. This man is just saying whatever just because I gave him a feedback and clearly he doesn’t know how to take one. The emails that he sends a lot about the gym he has to sent multiple because their is always confusion.

Read moreThis gym is a one of a kind city gym. I've lived in this city my whole life, been to a few great gyms but this is hands down my favorite gym ever. The first selling point for me was that it is a 24/7 gym all year round holidays as well. During my time hear I've met the owner and other members and every member is here for the same reasons from what I can tell, which is: a gym experience where people expect a clean orderly, available and safe gym on YOUR terms. The only way this ends up being possible is that everyone as a private member has an assumed duty to uphold the rules and standards of the gym but this ends up being the best and only way to have it all and for things to be secure.
I've seen some reviews that feel differently about the rules, standards and culture but I can honestly say the owner Don is always interested in speaking with and keeping the members interests as his top priority. Everyone has his number and email and can reach out anytime, he encourages it. He's great - tough guy in a tough city - but is the same guy training kids and adults in the gym, he seriously cares and it shows in a great gym experience.
I'm especially excited for the gym getting a managed ice bath and sauna room. Other establishments make you pay everytime you USE the icebath or sauna, but this gym is going to have it as a separate amenity that you pay for as a membership and I think that's huge.... 24/7

Owner aggressively yells from across the room not knowing anyones traumas or past conflicts to address concerns instead of taking anyone to the side and speaking to them like an adult that is paying to go there. then after yelling sends a passive aggressive email to the gym. Made me not even want to workout there the 2 days a week I was using it for. I would not recommend women to go here especially beginners. I’ve been working out for years and the owner made me feel very intimidated.
Response to owner- Looks like you’re getting clients confused. instead of taking accountability you want to make up a story. You were training someone and yelled from where you were to where I was while I had on head phones instead of coming up to me you proceeded yell. When I did hear you i just said ok and put my shoes on. Didn’t have an attitude and that was the last engagement we had.We never spoke after that especially not about my son as you would have immediately been corrected after classifying him under the wrong gender.
