Piedmont Aquatic Center — Local services in Piedmont

This pool is so cool for toddlers, and the slide is so much fun for us. Unfortunately, it was my first time visiting, and my family and I were shocked by how disgusting the pool was because we saw bandages, lashes, and bugs floating around. The water is very cloudy, which means they're not cleaning properly. It must be that the people working there are lazy and never bother to clean up. I It's disappointing because we really like this public pool - it's perfect for us. Next time I’ll take pictures to proof that they need to improve or we'll have to report it to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) because it’s not safe for kids if the pool isn’t cleaned properly immediately. We will definitely come back if they do their job better...

Edit 7 years later: This place has went down hill. Locals run it (attendees) & run outsiders out. We couldn't enjoy it with our kids. The kids here are left to run rampant & it seems like they try to tear up the slide as they're going down it. A women even attacked our truck as we were leaving. Called the center when we left & no one returned our call. Everyone there knew eachother & that woman spotted us out & INTENTIONALLY tried to start a fight in front of children! We left & WON'T be back! So, if you're NOT from Piedmont DON'T come here they'll run you off bc...

Its a great place to swim it has an awesome waterslide and diving board and the swimpad is fun too but the lifeguards will get onto you if you are on the diving board for to long or you and a friend go down the slide together but my older sister got pulled under in the 12 foot and shes doesnt know how to swim she was hanging onto the edge talking to friends while i was on the diving board when someine grabbed her and she couldnt breathe if it hadnt been for my stepdad literly throwing her out of the pool she would have drowned and the lifeguard didnt even take...
