Dollar General — Local services in Pierce City

I would not recommend shopping here. I was traveling thru and stopped here. I had some coupons for old orchard juice, and they had several in stock. So I got 8. My coupons were clipped from the newspaper. I gave the cashier Angie my coupons and she read the first one, then the second then the third, I said they are all the same, she rudely said there must be a limit, I explained there was not, and told her the the p&g coupons are usually the ones that have a limit. The customer behind me agreed and told her the same. Anyway, the total came to some change, I gave her a $20, she gave me back all ones and quarters for my change and just threw it in my hand. I don't understand why she was so rude, she said cause its free!! So what. The store gets reimbursement for coupons. I guess I do understand illiteracy. She obviously is illiterate to coupons and not willing to learn. But that will cause people not to shop there because she also lacks social skills. This generation of young people are...

Terribly ran store. They do not follow the set policy’s and refused to sell me items I wanted to purchase. The store manager as well as the district manager both refused to sell items to me and lied about their policy’s. Why would a company put a policy in place and then lie about it and not follow it?!? And who is going to be held responsible for them breaking policy? I am a loyal dg customer, but this was absolutely ridiculous. How do I know the next time I go there, they won’t refuse to sell me something I am needing? Customer relations agreed they acted out of policy but the store manager and district manager just said sorry we refuse.....

I love our local Dollar General there's almost always something on sale. And living in a small town having the option to not drive to a bigger town to visit a Walmart is a huge savings for us even if we have to pay a little bit more for a product it's worth it not to have to buy gas to go get it somewhere else.
