We took our dog here for grooming services and were disappointed in every way. Honestly, if I could give a zero star review I would.
We told the groomers they would likely need to give her an anxiety pill because she doesnât love grooming, which they said they would do. Then they called us back two hours later (without having given her the meds we requested) to tell us our dog was ânot having itâ and we needed to come get her with no haircut.
Against my better judgement we agreed to bring her back the next week after we had given her some anxiety meds ourselves. I 100% regret that decision. They again insisted the dog was not cooperating and ended up sedating her to finish the haircut. (I will admit she can be a bit reactive, but sheâs been groomed elsewhere with absolutely no problems so it seems to be an experience issue with their groomer more than anything.) When we went to pick up our dog the second time, they had ignored our explicit instructions that her tail needed to be trimmed and had essentially shaved the rest of her body (which we had emphatically said we did NOT want). She also has a decent sized cut on her neck which they brushed off as no big deal.
After two attempts, they essentially managed to unnecessarily traumatize our dog so we will have more difficulty getting her groomed in the future, did a terrible job of the grooming we hired them for, and charged a ridiculous amount of money for it all (almost $300 for simple grooming). I will never take a pet back to this location...
Read moreNEVER again will I take my pet to this establishment. I became a regular here and truly thought I found a forever boarding place. As a loving and diligent pet owner I still asked questions and gave instructions every time I dropped my pet baby off. As a previous person posted, the front staff is hit or miss. One staff lady told me she knew nothing about the back and couldn't answer any of my questions. She gave me no reassurance and made me feel like I was bothering her. Well after my pet was there for 5 days, I was eager to see him and bring him home. Mind you I pay for him to stay in the Suites and receive turn down service each time. They are not cheap, but my pets care is worth it! Well on this instance I noticed it taking too long for them to bring me my pet. To my horror when I looked through the glass the staff member was aggressively pulling on my dogs neck trying to leash him. My baby looked stressed out and was visibly shaking. I was LIVID. When I confronted the young red head staff member she stated it wasn't what it looked like and she was by herself. I have no idea what that meant as she was obviously caught In the act. She had no remorse only excuses. I spoke to the manager who seemed concerned. I thought I would have gotten a follow up call, same day. Nothing. Needless to say I do not reccomend Goodwin on Chantilly It's hit or miss and today...
Read moreThe clinic was purchased from the long-time owner fairly recently and the new ownership has done several things to run off long standing clients. Ownership has raised prices by 300-400%.and added charges where they hadnât been in the past. For example, the bill for my animals that cost $250 a year ago cost me $790 this week for the same services. Additionally, many of the staff have left as itâs evident that unneeded services are being pushed on clients. It reminds me of going to a shady mechanic who tells you that you need certain services on your vehicle done for a hefty amount and the mechanic is confident you wonât see through their charade. I feel bad for the employees as itâs evident theyâre being pressured to push these unneeded services on the clinicâs clientele. When I called and politely asked for management so I could have someone review charges with me I was given the clinicâs name in Birmingham that purchased Goodwin, told to Google it and hung up on. Weâre in a small community and word has spread quickly about the drastic change since ownership has changed hands and like so many others my family is leaving Goodwin for a veterinary clinic that values...
