
Very disappointed with the Pinehurst experience. Went down for a week with my buddies and was not treated with what we expected from the promises. The part that got me the most was that we had scheduled to play no.7 in the morning and then go back to the main location and play our second round. We were shuttled over and back. I bought a new Bushnell shift range finder with slope for the trip. When we finished up at 7 we were hurrying to make our next tee time and I left the rangefinder on the cart as it is magnetic. As we started the next round I realized I left it on the cart at 7. Called and asked if they would hold it and I would get it after the round. It was never turned in is what I was told. 4 guys took our bags and the carts to get ready for the next people and didn't turn it in.

Read morePlayed #7 on Thursday and it quickly became one of our favorites. Tight wooded undulating fairways were a challenge but the pine straw made recovering from bad tee shots manageable. Bring your chipping game. Mounded, fast greens made holding them rough even with good wedge shots. Tons of elevation changes. Great views on this underrated course. Can't wait...
