Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Southern Pines

This was my second time at Caribou Coffee in Southern Pines NC. The first time I ordered the white mocha pumpkin latte hot. The first couple sips were delicious but then after getting passed the foam the coffee was terrible. It's not the flavor they were going for. I've had White Mocha Pumpkin before and loved it. This was way too sweet and not drinkable. I went again yesterday (after a month has gone by) and just got pumpkin and asked for an additional shot of espresso... definitely would not expect it to be too sweet. My husband was with me as well and he ordered pumpkin latte hot as well but no extra shot. Well, BOTH our coffees were terrible 😔😕 we were extremely disappointed. My husband's was extremely sweet like my first one... undrinkable and thrown away good money...mine? Mine was undrinkable as well because it tasted like WATER!!! Not coffee or even cream...gross water... I AM SO EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED 😔☹️ I cannot spend good, hard earned money (thanks DJS!) on chances Other things I noticed: their prices may be slightly (and I mean slightly) cheaper but their "large" is Starbucks "medium" 😉😁 No matter how you look at it, Starbucks is the better value and better quality and just tastes...

I usually only write reviews when something is really good or really bad. My friend talked me into trying this, as I usually make my tea at home or I splurge on Starbucks randomly or try to hit the local coffee shops. I had an earl grey latte and it's about the worst earl grey latte I have ever had...and $6? It tastes like watered down nothing....I made it better at home this am for 50 cents. I used to drink a lot of coffee but can't due to health reasons, so can't mention their coffee as people seem to really like it, but the earl grey tea latte was straight bad. I could have swallowed it better if it cost $2.50, but $6!?! I absolutely will not order it again...even if they charged $2.50...highly do not recommend wasting your money on it...pick something else or go to The Roast Office in Pinehurst, they charge $3.50 and...

The service was pretty rough…if you can’t handle taking orders maybe you shouldn’t be order taker. Just went through (nobody else in line at the time) and ordered 3 items; one drink was supposed to be a large-that didn’t get rung in. Another item was supposed to be a sandwich, which we were informed they were out of at the window. That’s fine but we asked what else they had since we’re not familiar with the menu and got ignored and just handed the handheld with the total for the drinks. Luckily we got what we paid for and the drinks are pretty good but we also had to wait for the girl to open the window back up to get our receipt which she was holding in her hand while being confused what we were asking her for. Going somewhere else for food now...
