I have been a custom of theirs for quite awhile now. They used to treat me well and take good care of my AC⦠until the last year. I have a Mitsubishi mini split, the compressor is two years old. In May, the semi-annual service was due, it usually entails taking the inside heads apart and cleaning the blowers, the coils, etc. it takes about a couple hours and Iāve had them do it several times. This time, the tech came out and refused to take anything apart and spent about 30 minutes. I didnāt complain, the tech was insistent and kind of obnoxious so I just left it alone. On June 7th the unit stopped all of a sudden. I called and they sent a tech out at 8:30 pm . After all, Iāve been with them for years and have a service on contract. He wasnāt able to fix it, and he needed to talk to Mitsubishi tech to help figure it out⦠ok. So, no AC on Saturday or Sunday. On June 9 th ( Monday) another tech came out, and called Mitsubishi techs. He said they told him the control board needed replaced ā¦ok ⦠charge $188.00. The office called me later in the day and said they needed to order the part and it would not be in until June 17 th. What could I do⦠ok. On June 13th they called and said that the part would be in on June 17th but they would not put it in until June 19 th. I then called back on June 16 th and began to ask why it could not be put in on June 18th if they got it on June 17 ????? Over and over I explained first to the lady who answered the phone, then to her āsupervisor ā that I have been without AC in temperatures close to 100 degrees outside and way hotter inside my home. I have a 105 dog who is struggling with the heat as well as myself and my roommate. I was so angry I then called Mitsubishi service techs myself and spoke with a very nice and helpful man named James. James gave me the part number and informed me that the part was available at the local distributors warehouse and had been, there was no need for me to wait for a part for over a week. He also recommended that the power board be replaced as well as the control board. I called Climate Design back and left a message for Gary S. the service manager telling him the information I had discovered. He called me back and told me that they had recently done some work at the distributors warehouse and that they manger had my part in his desk. Gary said he was driving to pick it up and I told him James recommended that the power board be replaced also. He refused ⦠this unit is under warranty and the parts are paid for by Mitsubishi. Gary sent another tech, he replaced the control board and it blew. Gary then told me they were going to overnight the power board and I asked about a new control board since it now needed replaced again. Today is June 16th, itās almost 10 am and Iāve heard nothing, I called but Gary is in a āmeetingā so I left a message. Today is the 11th day without AC. This is my story, oh and yes Iāve called another AC company out.. one that James recommended ⦠a diamond elite Mitsubishi AC company⦠they will be here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have got the most expensive and advanced system. Everything was fine , good and not problematic until I sign the contract. After the contract signed I had to wait for installation longer because they were busy. I found out that they were busy because they had shortage in people because most of the good qualified people left the company. After installation the system worked good for maybe 2 months then stopped. Of course instead of proper diagnostic the blame me. Result was that nail thermostat stopped working properly. They sent a technician. Ha wasnāt experience much and instead of fixing he messed up the whole system. He did it so badly that technician from headquarters of tame has to come to help them fix that. They did some extra work for me but wasnāt able to get parts for few months because Iām in construction I have got the necessary parts in 2 weeks. They raised the price for work 100% because they said itās few months past. Because the system wasnāt working good and they were pushing me away I said that Iāll not fully pay if they didnāt fix that. They got upset on me because I said that, took me for collection and now when i called them for service they refused because Iām bad customer. Very unprofessional approach to most problems generated by not experienced workers. I wouldnāt recommend this company to more complicated projects. That good for very basic work. I donāt think itās worth it the money you paying for the service. Even here on google reviews as you see only 5 stars reviews. Iām pretty sure they paid for it to some shady company. Thousand of happy customers not even one unhappy....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was so impressed withĀ our technicianĀ Cole. We have had a recurringĀ issue with our HVAC and tried different companies to resolve theĀ issue. No technician has spent the time or run as many tests to actually identify the issue. Cole ensured both drain lines were draining, checked the float switch activated by the drain line blockage, checked the pressuresĀ and saw they were low (indicating a leak), cleaned the air duct so there was no moisture and waited 15 minutes to see if more water would form. When finding water was splashing, Cole did a visual leak search with leak detectorĀ spray at the evaporator coil and condenser. Other companies have told me the line was blocked, removed the block and the problem has persisted. No other company has been as thorough Climate Design/ technician Cole.
Second visit update: Over a month after my first review, we noticed a humidity issue in our upstairs bedroom. I called Climate Design and requested Cole. Cole found some air protrusions coming from 2 exhaust vents and a bath fan, he also noticed the ceiling in this bedroom seemed to have air gaps allowing attic air to enter the home. He recommended to seal these areas to help control the humidity. 10/10 recommend Climate Design/technician Cole for his thoroughness and level of detail. Cole consistently goes above and beyond. He took pictures of each problem area and detailed them in the report. When I had additional questions the following day, he called me to...
