Blue Q — Local services in Pittsfield

I've generally loved Blue Q products. They're funny and quirky if you know your audience.

Currently, however, they are adding a "promo freebie pack" to every order, which sounds great -- but you cannot remove the freebie pack from your cart before checkout. Not a great situation if you are shipping an order as a gift to a different person, and can't check what's in the freebie pack for duplicates or for stuff the recipient just wouldn't find funny.

I've already gotten two freebie packs this season because I've done a lot of gift shopping here these last two months, and it's clear that what they're stuffing in there is their least funny surplus items.

I attempted to contact them this morning for help placing an order directly, hoping to avoid the freebie pack addition to a gift order I planned to send to a sibling, and was completely let down: they do not have a customer phone line, contact is email only.

The reply I eventually received suggested I try their amazon store, OR wait until the 16th to place the order, after the end of the freebie promotion period.

I responded right away that the amazon storefront was out of stock of a key item I wanted to purchase, and that waiting until the 16th to order for holiday delivery seemed like a terrible idea.

They never responded again to help me figure out a solution to order with them.

So I ordered a different gift from an alternate seller, and have lost all trust or joy in Blue Q. What a disappointing...

I holiday shop super early and just cancelled a large order because the site requires personal data prior to calculating shipping. At over $200 it qualified for free shipping but I wanted to see the cost to ship gifts directly to recipients. You are also required to agree to their TOS, which are unacceptably intrusive. The only item missing from their list is a DNA sample. Plenty of other novelty...
