Tried to support a small business during the pandemic; however, we were very disappointed with our experience. We ordered a dining table set with an "estimated" delivery date of 6-8 weeks. 8 weeks passes, and we haven't heard from the store, so we followed up. They informed us something was backordered, but it should be shipping out the next week. A few weeks pass again with no communication, so we called the store again. We were then told it had actually just shipped out the week before and delivery was taking anywhere from 4 days to 4 weeks. After 4 weeks passes, we had not heard anything once again. We called the store and they said yes it did ship and delivery is taking about 6 weeks. So we waited a couple of more weeks and still had no table and no communication from the store. We called the store and they said it should be here any day, but they hadn't heard from their trucking company yet. 4 and a half months after we ordered, we finally got the call that our table set was in. A week later, we got the table delivered but not without issue. They showed up within the time slot; however, discovered they had forgotten to pack something in the truck, so they had to go back to the store and come back to our house now after our time slot. Very frustrating experience as we were told multiple different delivery times that didn't end up being true. Really, the store has no idea when something will be delivered, and they can't get updates. The customer has to be the one to initiate contact, which ends up being pointless because the store doesn't have any tracking on items you purchase from them. If we had known this when we were shopping for our table set, we would have gone somewhere that could provide more reliable information to their customers. I'm an interior designer at a furniture manufacturing company so I know how badly this industry has been affected by shipping delays and supply shortages. But I knew I could buy something off the floor at Hometown so that's why we went. If you order furniture these days, you'll be waiting months so it's great that they have the option to sell you what they have in-store. If you need a piece of furniture today and don't have time to wait months, this is the place to go, they have a decent selection considering it's not the biggest store and amazing prices compared to regular retail furniture stores.

Read moreI just recently stumbled onto this local furniture store here in town. I was overly amazed that they carry such an array of brand named pieces at such low prices. I eventually made a decision and picked out a few pieces for our new addition to our home. The people there are really relaxed yet helpful. A huge contrast to the big box store with the barely knowledgeable commission chasing sales people that seem to only want to have anything to do with you if they feel you are a SALE.. Once our furniture was delivered to our home, we noticed there was minor damage to one of the sofas. I called the store and instead of being pushed aside or given some other number to call, they jumped right in and within a week we had our sofa repaired without headache & worry.
