Absolutely terrible experience — avoid this company at all costs !!!
I hired Driveway Guys to redo my driveway about two years ago, and it has been a nightmare from the very beginning. They started the work without confirming the date or proper preparation — clearly rushing just to get a payment — and then abandoned the job halfway when it rained. When they finally resumed, the slope was done completely wrong, causing severe flooding in my garage (video proof for the flooding within garage - this had never happened before).
After pointing out the issue, they did a patch fix by adding a small ramp at the entrance, but that didn’t solve the real problem. The water started pooling all over the driveway, and after every rain or snowfall or even when sprinklers are on - making it unsafe to walk, drive as there is always water and ice buildup. The top layer of the driveway is ALREADY COMING APART, barely two years in, even though they claimed it came with a six-year guarantee - Fraud !
To make matters worse, the owner, Joe Purcell, was rude, dismissive, verbally abusive and even threatening when I raised concerns about their mistakes. They kept promising to come back and fix the slope, but for two years now, it’s been nothing but delays, excuses, and zero accountability.
I eventually paid part of the remaining balance just to end the constant back-and-forth when another person from this terrible company came to my house and promised issues will be fixed, but it’s clear they had no intention of standing by their work or their so-called guarantee.
Unprofessional, poor workmanship, and absolutely no sense of customer service. I deeply regret ever hiring them and would strongly advise anyone to...
Read moreBEWARE !!! They did a bad job on my driveway. We begged them to come back and when they did a few months later, they made it worse. It is actually crumbling at all edges. A huge ugly patch on a new driveway, just disgusting. I have no choice but to sue. As they make every excuse possible not to come back. Kicker is that they put up a sign "The Driveway Guys" then when there are issues they HIDE behind another company name and says they only work for the other company. Please, please, please read all detail on your contract to make sure who you are writing a check to. Better yet, do not even use them!!!. Save yourself from dealing with these "guys". I will repost with pictures showing the shotty work, like annoying puddles, not pitched properly, asphalt crumbling and pieces entering garage. Oh, I will also post a copy of the name that they hide behind so that all are aware. Apologies for not posting pictures on this post. It is because I was driving and seen there sign up that they like to put on lawns which was frustrating as they try to take on many jobs. Furthermore we wrote a post before and they begged us to take it down and they will come back to make it right. When we did take it down, they stalled till season was over then...
Read moreMy neighbor recommended the Driveway Guys to seal my driveway.
Heretofore I had always used Road Runner for driveway sealing and they always did an excellent job. However, Road runner had gotten very expensive for my driveway which is approximately 9000 ft.². So I decided to give the Driveway guys a try.
The owner, Brandon, returned my call within a few minutes and promised to contact me with a price. His price was very competitive so I awarded him the work. He did not require any money upfront, which is what I prefer.
I’m very glad that I’m hired them. Their team arrived punctually at 8:15 AM on the date scheduled and immediately began cleaning my driveway with leaf blowers and brooms. After it was clean they carefully poured thick driveway sealant around the perimeter and spread it with a broom. They did not get one drop on my Belgian block, even though they did not tape.
Then they filled in the rest and smoothed it out with brooms. The finished product looks excellent! I am very pleased with these guys. Overall, they completed a 9000 square-foot driveway in about three hours. Great job thank you for...
