Bennett's Food Center — Local services in Plainview

It probably sounds crazy, but nothing feels more like home to me than Bennett's. I grew up in the area and still know many people there. Whenever I go home, the one thing I want is a 4 wing dinner with macaroni salad from the deli. The thing about Bennett's is I always run into someone I know, and the staff are some of the nicest people in Plainview. You sure can't beat small-town service! One last thought, I always took the drive-through grocery pick-up for granted. I miss it like crazy! The grocery stores I'm forced to use by me don't have anything like it. I'll be home in a couple weeks, and you can bet I'll stop in for a donut...

Sweet little small town grocery store. Excellent service at the cash registers manned by local teens & adults; superior meat counter always has great cuts of meat & often local specialities (think cheeses & sausages made & vegetables grown on nearby farms or dairies). Went for bacon. I used to love getting my bacon and butter there but when i got a large package of bacon to take on vacation and went to cook it the next morning and it was moldy. Can't send the hubby because he dont look at the veggies and much of what is in the store for produce is unfortunately half spoiled. I go there in a pinch but the prices are too high for the quality of food...
