New Fresh Wok — Restaurant in Plainview

The take out went well for the most part. She took my order right away and as soon as I got there they had my order ready to go. Very quick and simple. Our closest Asian restaurant is in Plainview so this is our second time trying them out and it beats driving 30 min to get into Rochester. Food was literally fantastic. My only complaint that I've noticed just like others have said on here for the reviews is the service. The family that works there seem very distant. I'll say hi and was respectful as much as possible because I know working at a restaurant is hard labor, but something with them seemed so off. They hardly smiled and they're not very social. I'm sure all they want is for you to get your food and leave. I'm not sure what the deal is but at least give a little effort for your customers to smile no matter if you're having a bad day or not. Just a smile helps a ton with bringing more customers in. Even the cashier which I'm assuming was the daughter looked awfully miserable. Overall with that said, when you order just remember that I guess you're just there for the food and that's it. But if you're a social customer don't expect from these guys to make you feel like you're at home or your friends. I'm hoping they improve with their social interactions cause they do...

I come here often and the ONLY reason I come back is because the food is DELICIOUS! Best Chinese in Minnesota hands down. However, that’s the only good thing about the place. The family that runs the place is very short, distant, monotone and unwelcoming. You can literally hear the tone in their voices , it just makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing them or something. The place is very unwelcoming. If it wasn’t for having the BEST food I would not be back for how uncomfortable they make you feel. I don’t know why they have the daughter answering the phone because she’s the rudest one there! Try smiling and stop making customers feel like they are an inconvenience and I’ll change my rating to 5 stars. Until then it’s a solid 3...

I tried calling for an order to go, I didn't look at the menu before calling but I know I normally get general chicken. However; when I was asking basic questions, the lady on the phone was yelling at me and obviously being very impatient. I tried to remain calm even though she was incredibly rude as I could barely say anything before she interrupted with more yelling. I ended up not placing an order due to her childish and inappropriate behavior so I cannot say if the food was good or not. Honestly its not worth trying for that kind of hospitality. Thats not how you run a buisness and treating people like that in general is embarrassing. I feel sorry for you.
