I’m a regular at this location and have been one for years. I live extremely close and this location is very convenient for me. They’ve always had great customer service, until this fairly new employee started at your location. I always see her working in the daytime and her name is Mel. She has dark brown hair and wears it in a bun. She’s very disrespectful and has a bad attitude. Every since she’s worked there anytime I’ve came in there she’s made me feel very uncomfortable. Every single time she is working she acknowledges me waiting at the counter to pay and she continues doing what she’s doing and ignores me. For instance today 4/6/2020 I came in, she ignored me waiting at counter and I finally left and went somewhere else, and this is every single time I come in there. This isn’t only me that has to wait for her. It’s all the other customers also. Then another time me and my kids came in the door she screamed at all of us and told us we had to wait outside because there couldn’t be more then 6 people inside. I understood that but she didn’t have to embarrass me in front of all the customers inside. I then left and went to another location. Her attitude is extremely bad and not acceptable to be working for customer service. More like a ware house we’re she doesn’t have to interact with others. She’s very unprofessional and rude. She always seems like she doesn’t want to be working and always seems to be complaining about the entireties of the job. She was talking about a customer to her co-worker, a Africa American women. She was accusing the customer that went outside to grab her list to check it , of stealing, in front of me and the whole line behind me. She told her co-worker to go check and see if the customer was leaving. I just thought that was extremely unprofessional. The customer appeared back and paid for all of the things she had. Another incident of when I came in to grab quick items. It was 5 till 10 and the front door was open, she screamed at me and asked why I was in there, and that they were closed. If they were closed I have no idea why they had the door unlocked. Moral of the story this employee is rude, disrespectful, and very unprofessional. She needs to be stopped and talked to. She doesn’t need to work for customer service. I’ve been wanting to write a review on this lady for a while but I thought I’d give it another chance and just see if she was having a bad day, but NO this is an every time I come in thing with this lady. Read moreFriendly. i am changing my review after almost 7 years shopping here. i live across the street from this dollar general and LOVE dollar general BUT recently this is the first time in my life NOW I HATE DOLLAR GENERAL.....THANKS TO THIS STORE.... i shop here often like several times a week and have seen many a many new employees .... i can not say they were all wonderful but never were so bad to have me change my opinion or this review about dollar general and when i needed some household supplies yesterday and drove there as i approached i dreaded having to go in ,,, no the dread was prior visit this time was fear ..i did not want to shop here any longer i went to FAMILY DOLLAR... reasons ....... they installed a self checkout and thats ALL that is now .... and i mean most litterally that is all there is as for there are no employees to help at the front .. you may see an employee stocking somewhere in the store but as soon as there is a line at the self checkout that employee you just saw disappears and i had no idea where they could have gone because once i even burst loudly through the employee only doors in the back and hollered hello hello hello ....nothing...no sound at all like abandoned. so as i approach the front of the store the employee is coming in from outside and that would be understandable BUT not this time they were not pushing empty carts inside they were not carrying in the overflowing trash from outside and they did not rush to the register area to help the long line of customers at the self checkout that was stuck ... malfunctioning... idk what really was wrong but that customer trying to check out couldnt and i was about number 6 in line..... there is so much more to add here but this already too long .. but i will be addressing EVERYTHING in an email to their headquarters because it has gone from dissapointed to dreadful to shop here. i reccommend stay away from this store for a good 3. to 6 months and hopefully everyone is fired and a new...
Read moreCan I give negative 5 ? Walked in today. Same lady as described two years ago in the scenario. There’s no one working the front of the store the back of the store or well the store. There were two customers in the front who had been there waiting for 10 min. An elderly lady was ringing a bell and shouting for someone. We thought someone might be hurt in the back. Three employees emerge. A ZZ Top looking midget , same lovely lady as described in previous posts. And some imposter I’ve never seen before who decides to play bouncer for Oscar the Grouch and starts yelling at all of the customers for trying to find them.
