I have been debating whether I should make this review or not but at this point here I am I brought in my gaming laptop to these people back in December and I saw that they specialize in gaming PCs gaming laptops. My problem was that my R key Wasn’t working and from my understanding that is a simple fix by replacing the keyboard and they say they could do it no problem and it wouldn’t take that long because And I was in the middle of my spring semester when I receive my laptop back The keyboard keys were in the wrong place the R key And X key were switched and I understand that is a factory issue not the people who worked Itself, but the fact that the owner was so extremely rude to me because Keys were switched around and got offended that I was “accusing” him Switching around my keys Saying hey, the keys were switched around as someone who works on living, I expect you to maybe catch this error and I wasn’t rude about it. I simply just said the keys were switched around. I did not appreciate how the owner was extremely rude. However, I took my laptop back for them to fix it and they fixed it free charge, which is great. They even said that they replaced the thermal plate for me because they noticed that it needed to be replaced. Also, free of charge I said great that’s awesome, but not two weeks afterwards my computer started to randomly shut off. I have had my laptop for four years. It is never had this problem let alone the R key not working problem. And it’s shutting off, just kept getting worse when it first started. I was able to turn it back on, but then it got to the point where it shut off and never turned back on. I had to take out the battery and do a hard reset to get it to turn on and it just stopped turning on after that, so I had to take it to Best Buy. Take it to Best Buy mind you I am still in the middle of my spring semester. I need my laptop to do my schoolwork. They said it would take two weeks. It took three weeks I had to miss a few assignments and when I got it back, they said , that the thermal plate wasn’t put back properly. Mind you, they said that they put new thermal paste/plate whatever back for me free of charge just for Best Buy to say that that was the issue and now two months later clearly something else is wrong with it because the thermal plate wasn’t the issue maybe it still is I do not know but my computer just shut off and won’t turn on. I am in the middle of my summer semester where I really need my computer because my summer classes are online, so now I have to buy a whole new PC because my laptop won’t work anymore. I didn’t even want to take it back to this place considering how rude they were to me when I said hey my laptop isn’t working properly after you guys fixed it so if you have a gaming PC or laptop, I would be careful of taking it...

I would HIGHLY Recommend Plaistow Custom PC to anyone with any computer problems. Do not waste your time trying to fix your computer on your own; bring it to Richard!

I thought our son’s gaming computer, which he got for his birthday about a year and changed ago, was gone forever; I tried everything, and it kept going to sleep mode; I actually made it worse trying to fix it on my own and spent hours on internet- and in the end result it would not turn on at all.

My husband suggested calling Plaistow Custom PC, to see if they can help. It was our first experience with Plaistow Custom PC shop; a shop my husband randomly saw while driving. Richard answered the phone and asked us to drop the computer off.

Richard was able to identify the hard drive problem and replaced it with a new one; he also adjusted the computer settings. Richard was very patient and answered a million questions both our children had; he also explained to them the importance of shutting down the computer in the correct way, explained what blank icons on the screen meant, asked, and helped to recover their username and shared computer tricks with them.

Richard is super knowledgeable, friendly, kind, honest and fair. I think he should charge more for his knowledge and time.

We also learned that Richard builds computers, and I know where we will be getting our next computer. - at Plaistow Custom PC!

I also brought two dinosaurs’ computers (16 years old and older) to see if Richard would be able to recover data from them; unfortunately, they were not in use for so long and it was impossible to recover anything due to disks failure. Richard told me prior; I dropped them it might be impossible, and the disks may fry. I value that Richard was honest and he attempted the impossible anyway. I very much appreciate the effort and Richard's time.

Today I went in to try to see if I could get some of my laptops fixed. I called ahead and Richard told me to come in any time. I don’t live far so I was over in a few minutes. He looked over my electronics (which were fairly cheap and in terrible condition to be honest) and told me it would cost more to fix them than buying them new, which I had already figured. He then gave me the option of giving me credit for the items and put it towards one of his items in the shop. He explained to me all the different features and went over my needs and price range. I had picked one I loved but the price was a little high for me. He took the price down three times to where I needed it to be. He was just so kind. I have never been to an establishment where I was met with such genuine kindness, who heard me out. Anyways, I went to take the money out and realized I didn’t have enough anyways! So I went off back home, and thanked him for his help as I hoped to return when I had more funds. Once I got home I received a call from Richard, he told me to come back, that he had something for me. So I went back and right on the desk was a shiny, pretty silver HP laptop. I began to tear up and just couldn’t believe it. He said it was a random act of kindness, and wanted nothing in return. I just couldn’t believe his charity. I hope he reads this, and God blesses him and keeps him always. Thank you for blessing me and being human. It means the world. I have gone through so many hardships since before the holidays, and just had a surgery with severe complications. Thank you for cutting me a break and showing human love.
