Update: If you want to save some reading, skip straight to the owner's reply for the level of professionalism to expect. Fraud implies that I gained something from waiting 6 months for products promised in 3 and wasting hours talking to the bank, manufacturer, his payment processing company, and State Attorney General's office.

Original: Most frustrating retail experience ever. We ordered and paid in full for a sectional at the end of August that Joe conservatively estimated would arrive mid-November. We were into January before I started to ping him. There was zero communication with updates unless I went to confront him in person. In February, he said 3 more weeks. I gave up after 5 more passed and hoped my credit card company could reverse the charge (a second time). Right off the bat, I was surprised to see my credit card charged several hundred dollars more than our invoice. Joe forgot to tell us he charges a 4% processing fee and unexplainably tacked $100 onto the price. It took the first charge dispute to get that refund 1.5 months later. He even tried to hide the manufacturer by cropping logos on literature so we couldn't compare prices. He blamed the factory for the delay, but a store down the road had no problem getting the same pieces in a month for over $400 less. Unless you're purchasing something in stock, he will treat your deposit as an interest free loan. The worst part is when he takes advantage of the "small local business" label. You cannot trust the hours of operation listed for this merchant. We made a special trip to go to this place for furniture on a typical business day. According to the Google listing as of 02/09/2023, the place was supposed to be opened until EIGHT PM. Got there before 6:30 PM. There are two separate buildings which is confusing because the Google listing doesn't show this. Both sites had flashing neon signs saying: "OPEN." Inside the windows it seemed dark though. Tried both entrances & they were locked up tight. I see no reason to trust this place. The listing was false. The signs on the building were false. From what I could see through the windows, the furniture looked like that low tier outlet furniture stuff.

Just check their reply. It will tell you all that you need to know. Not only did the owner fail to acknowledge their failures, they even wrote a fake review of my family member's business... Professional??? 👎

Paid for furniture upfront in July told shipment would be back within a month kept getting the runaround it's December now and still no furniture owner says got the furniture but I don't. Paid over $1,000 can't get the guy on the phone. Went up to shop and was told I could get the furniture by paying more money for the furniture I've already paid in full. Found out this business has been under several names but the same owner. Taking people's money, holding what they paid for hostage, changing names and not keeping business hours or answering phone calls if that ain't a con artist I don't know what is.
