Bucks Country Gardens — Local services in Plumstead Township

I recently had some trees removed whose roots were running wild and destroying my driveway. I was left with two large holes and multiple trees continually sprouting from the roots beyond the stumps. I called several places to get a quote for soil and sod but all of them only wanted to plant seed.

Then I called Bucks Country Gardens. Amy promptly responded and came to look over the job. My wife and I were so impressed with her attention to detail that we added some plantings and other work. In a word, the finished job was perfect. Inside of 2 weeks we couldn't even locate where the sod ended and the rest of our lawn began and the plantings looked great. The crew worked diligently and also removed the remainder of the roots which put an end to the unwanted sprouts. Like Amy, they also exhibited great attention to detail and checked with us as the work progressed to make certain we got what we wanted. You can always tell a professional company by the equipment they use and there were no short cuts in that regard. There are much cheaper and better places for houseplants - I can't speak to the decor side of things since I don't have a yard and therefore dont but those things, but everything is kind of overpriced for what it is. I have never bought a plant from here that did not have mealy bugs, and I've bought several. (And yes, I carefully inspected the plants beforehand, but they're stacked so close together and many in store have visible mealy bugs). Just be wary, make sure you like the plant enough to deal with trying to treat it for mealy bugs. Beautiful plants, and many large ones, but high price and not worth the hassle of treatment in my opinion. I do think the non-plant items are great for gifts for anyone who likes gardening or houseplants, but too expensive for me to want to purchase things for myself very often. I had great experience shopping in this Garden Center. Even though I came 10min before closing on Sunday, Tanya introduced me to the Garden shop manager, a sweet and helpful young lady, who took her time to help me make the right selection of flower pots, potting soil and flowers to plant. I am only sorry I can not remember her name. I had a large order and was worried I was taking too long. The young lady kept telling me not to worry and make sure I am happy with my selection. I was never rushed or made feel I was not welcomed. The store stayed open until I was done and two men have helped me to load my SUV. The selection in this Garden Center is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are high, but, at leat in my eyes, the quality and the variety of products, product display, the store cleanliness and the customer service justify it. I will always shop...
