Plymouth District Court — Local services in Plymouth

As you can see from other reviews before mine there seems to be an attitude problem going on at this courthouse. I didn’t show up to small claims court expecting any type of special treatment from the magistrate, but I definitely did not expect to be met with someone who lacks the human decency to let me present a reasonable dispute regarding hardship. After speaking with the lawyer about my circumstances it felt like a reasonable step to see if a hardship dismissal was possible. After watching this magistrate speak in such kindness all morning and explain things throughly to those like me who do not understand how everything works, I experienced a different side and was treated like I was an idiot for even thinking of addressing her. In fact this woman told me that the death of my child was not relevant to the case as I was trying to pursue a hardship dismissal. ?? I definitely understand that there are laws and that some things are not possible and that I have to be held responsible however the way I was spoken to today was shocking, and definitely not fair. Best courthouse in Plymouth County, no doubt about it. I can't think of a better court in Massachusetts actually. It holds Plymouth Superior Court, Housing Court, Barnstable Juvenile Court, Family and Probate Court, District Court. Plus, it has the best law library outside of Boston.
