As you can see from other reviews before mine there seems to be an attitude problem going on at this courthouse. I didn’t show up to small claims court expecting any type of special treatment from the magistrate, but I definitely did not expect to be met with someone who lacks the human decency to let me present a reasonable dispute regarding hardship. After speaking with the lawyer about my circumstances it felt like a reasonable step to see if a hardship dismissal was possible. After watching this magistrate speak in such kindness all morning and explain things throughly to those like me who do not understand how everything works, I experienced a different side and was treated like I was an idiot for even thinking of addressing her. In fact this woman told me that the death of my child was not relevant to the case as I was trying to pursue a hardship dismissal. ?? I definitely understand that there are laws and that some things are not possible and that I have to be held responsible however the way I was spoken to today was shocking, and definitely not fair.
