The Pomona auto swap meet has been in full swing since I was a kid in the 80s. It has all ways been thousands of people that get here at 4 A.M. in hopes of finding that rare part or car they have been looking for. It's a very simple concept. Take a huge area ( Pomona fairplex) and split it down the middle. One half cars for sale ,show or trade and the other half new ,used and obsolete car parts. It is physically impossible to look at all the parts vendors and all the cars in the same day. I have a 63 caddy and most years it's way cheaper to just pay the fee to get your car in the show. I definitely...
Read moreWent to the car show last Sunday October 8. Pretty expensive for what it is. I expected to see hot rods and cool classic cars like Cadillacs, Chevys and Fords (there were a few) but really it was just a bunch of low riders. Not my thing. Too many Cholos, not much visible security, high priced food and beverages ($4 bottled water and $11.50 beer) and most "Vendors" were selling what looked like junk. Not talking bad about them as that's their business but outside of just a handful of Classic cars, this was a bust. Great place if you're looking for car...
