Thus is long bear with me it's worth it : )(Before i start, i would like people to take into consideration the bad reviews; i read rhem before arriving i always blog about places i stay and review them first) / Having said that most people w common sense i feel should be able to see through the 1 and 2 star raying i read everyone and they for the most part sounded personal\ (if you feel a place is to expensive stay somewhere esle, also the owners and stagf are not responsible for the highway and where it is, or the actions of other campers, those are all prrsonal vendetta opionions and should be removed) Having sajd that i am and English communication major and blogger and so i try to see through bloggers rants and look for actual calm reviews that have not been written in anger. I Christian Alexander Bolinger Honestly and truly felt honored to be a guest here the staff were some of the kindest and accommodating people I have ever met. I am not from the area and did not know my around or where to get anything. I lost my wifi pass twice the forst night and they were super cool about it. The gentleman who owns it is incredible friendly and kind as are all of the staff I have met so far I have stayed at 4 KOAS in the last two months this the the best one yet and I plan on seeing more but I will never forget this one. It absolutely beautiful here their cabins are nicer than any cabin I have stayed in at a koa. I enjoy the cabins their I love tent camping but the cabins are so nice it's worth the minute expense difference compared to the experience you want. If you want solitude their cabins are perfect if you want private romantic nature getaway. Or a place to take the kids they have different cabins the one I stayed in was a bunk bed and a full size bed I stayed alone and had a very peaceful time. God bless. I hope all koa members or people who enjoy the koa experience will try to come here and take their Hollywood tour. You know to put it simply the best thing about this place is that the staff is not acting happy you are here THEY ARE HAPPY YOU ARE HERE. They want you to get what you can out of your trip. I must tip my hat to this koa. Thank you for the best camping experience of my life. (And I camp people lol) stayed at the Grand Canyon koa nothing like this. This...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis KOA is just horrible. First off, when we asked about the grounds they said there's pictures online and didn't tell us any info. After we got here their computers were down and the 2 employees working in the office were snapping at eachother. We were 3rd in line and the first 2 customers had been given so much attitude, WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THAT? Secondly of all, when asked questions they snapped at me and gave me so much attitude. When asked if they had cable they stuck their noses up and acted like it was such a privileged question to ask. The 2 gentlemen in Line a head of me were trying to get spots and they kept saying "oh ourcomputers are down so we can't reserve you, but if you come back later there "should" be spots. The gentlemen asked if she could write his name down to guarantee a spot and she denied him 3-4 times after finally huffing and puffing and writing it down. What kinda of camp ground are you running? You are representing KOA SO poorly!!! So rude to my grandfather as a paying customer I wanted to tel them to cancel the reservation. When asked if they booked Hollywood tours or Univeral studios (as they have pamphlets for both on the counter) they laughed and snarled and said no. This is ridiculous and I'll never stay here again, I heard 2 other PAYING customers say they'd never stay here again either. Get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis park is not intended for big RVs. We traveled in a Class A, 41' Phaeton, towing. We watched another Class A barely make it into the campground entrance right before us.||||The spaces are tiny despite the fact that we reserved, and paid extra for, a "Deluxe Patio" site. On the KOA website the picture of the "Deluxe Patio" reflects a picnic table, seating area, room for a vehicle and your RV. Instead we pulled into a small spot that had a cement pad just big enough for our car and a big box of some kind taking up most of the grass area. Our neighbors may have taken our picnic table before we arrived; however, there would not have been room to put it anyway. We had to reverse out of the spot when we departed due to the tight spaces and having four big yellow posts sticking out of the ground at the front of our campsite that we would have had to maneuver around. Our neighbor took out their electric box trying to exit with their toy hauler/5th wheel. People parked in the streets because few of the spaces were large enough to hold a vehicle and a camper/rv. ||||I feel like the website severely misrepresented the type of site we were getting compared to how the site looked upon arrival. We paid more than $20/day extra for the "Deluxe" site and ultimately left a day early because there was nothing enjoyable...
