I was very disappointed in what I had observed in person at the local East Wireless store. There were 3 employees in the store, was previously 4, but one had left, it might have been time for a lunch break. Only one employee was waiting on customers, the other two ignored customers, and even when a customer (elderly lady) attempted to ask them a question, they rudely and promptly directed her to ask the one employee who was assisting others. The one who was assisting and waiting on customers was obviously stressed and appeared overwhelmed by the line of customers in the store. He was doing an excellent job juggling many tasks despite not having any kind of help from his coworkers. I had stopped by just to ask what it would take to get my phone replaced because it has a physical problem with the digitizer that causes it to open apps randomly and it is extremely difficult to use because of it. I've had an easy wireless account on and off through the lifeline for several years now and I have always had some kind of difficulty with customer service and support in person at the local store but this last experience was by far the absolute worst I have ever experienced. I didn't get the names of the employees but I can give a general description of each one that should be adequate to identify each one. There was a very large man obese, (excuse my bluntness,) was one that was ignoring customers and directing them to ask the other gentleman that was working with customers already. I am not sure but I believe he had brought his dog to the store and had it tied to the chair in the front around the customers, the dog was pulling the chair dragging it across the floor from One customer to another, it frightened some of the customers but overall it was not aggressive or mean in any way, but I found a strange that he had to keep getting up from a desk towards the back office to bring the dog back away from the customers repetitively. There was also a woman there, that was wearing a easy wireless shirt like the rest of the employees, that walked with a cane and was obviously physically disabled in some sort, and she did not speak make eye contact or have anything else to do with any of the customers in the store. She spoke with the large employee saying that there was no rain in the forecast and then went outside and walked around the pop-up tent a couple times and then went back inside and sat with the large employee in the back office. After waiting around for 45 minutes I had turned around and decided to leave, frustrated for waiting so long for no good reason. My thoughts was one of those employees was going to get off their break and come start assisting customers and take some of the load off the one employee that was working, but I was wrong. This stores is only a couple blocks away from my house, and it is very sad that I am forced to try to go with another company for my lifeline service, because I can't even get into the local store to ask one question in a reasonable amount of time. I feel very sorry for the one guy with glasses that was waiting on customers, because he had no help from his fellow coworkers and because of that he was getting vented on by angry customers that were upset about having to wait so long. There were several customers that came in just to make a payment on their account to pay for their service that ended up leaving without paying just to have to come back later and try again. One customer was very angry because he wasted his entire lunch break to make a payment on his phone service, and he had no time left to go get something to eat after waiting to...
Read moreSpent 4 hours there with a family member I referred waiting for the identification verification to process and never was processed after being told we were approved for a phone. The guy working there had no knowledge or real training to answer any questions or help with why it was not processing. We left with no answer, no phone and a P.O. Box address to Pennsylvania that we could mail in the Approval letter to and ask for answers. Also, during this 4-Hour period of waiting the young man's boss came in and immediately complained that she had to leave her fun time to come in and unlock her office so she could set four phones that were not the phones thw customrs even asked for down and said I hope this is all you need for the day, I'm going back to the casino. We were going to purchase the $150 phone thankfully we didnt and id certainly consider any other option other than this office in ponca city. I have never seen an Att, Verizon or a T-mobile store associate treat customers this way and not get an answer or resolution and phone to the already approved applicant. Discrimination to the less fortunate is...
