The salesman was very helpful but the entire purchase process took entirely too long. Delivery was promised for a Monday and no calls were received. When I stopped into the store the teller had processed the order wrong and delivery day had to be moved to Tuesday. Tuesday comes along and no call or delivery. I made repeat attempts to call the store to inquire about delivery but call was ever answered. I went into the store for a 3rd time and was told my order was on the manifest and set for the last stop of the day which is made by 6pm. On the way home we were just almost run off the road at 4:16pm by one of drivers in the moving truck (who didn't deliver my furniture or even call). Wednesday morning comes along, I receive no phone call or delivery. I then go to the store for the 4th time to request a refund due to all the time wasted and no delivery made. I'm then asked to allow them another 24 hours to then deliver the merchandise Thursday because the order wasn't placed back into the delivery truck Wednesday even after they failed to call or make a delivery attempt. In my opinion the order should've been the first order on the truck and delivered the following day since they failed to deliver when agreed upon. I was also told that they have no control over delivery as they use a thrid party company. This is false promotion as they state on their website that it is a family owned and operated business. Ultimately, I requested a refund for the lack of customer service and delivery of merchandise when promised and as paid for. Help was rushed and when asked about paying half the money up front, was told that Berrios is the biggest distributor in the island and doesn't take C.O.D. well after paying upfront, they made me waste an entire day waiting for a delivery that never came. No phone call to advise, nobody at the store picks up the telephone either. I remember seeing 4 ladies at the desk when I went so not sure why nobody ever picks up the phone. I called at least 7 times during the early afternoon.
Pedro, the sales rep, had the nerve to smirk when I asked him abt C.O.D. and this is exactly why you don't pay in total upfront. Musico pago no toca bien.
Berrios, you should have better customer service and follow through, pick up the phones when your customers call and have the courtesy to provide the delivery teams contact info so that there is better communication with your customers at time of delivery. Who will pay me for my entire wasted day?
