IKEA Ponce — Local services in Ponce

As for other people my experience at PR Ikea was awful. I'm a heavy shopper from ikea US and EU. This Ikea have only the name that resemble the original company. Nothing more. Customer Service is negligent and not responsive. Evrething in outsourcing, so if you buy a furniture that need measurement and installation, as for the kitchen or the whole bedroom, you have to pass to a real hell. 3 different company will be put on the duty. Not one has liability or responsibility of what they doing. So we have the Ikea, with a show rum that it's big as a Mc Donald, that compare to other Ikea is big as the "Swedish restaurant" that is full of the cheaper items that you can find in other ikea. All the items are pile up and stock together like in a garage. Thera are pretty no choice, there are pretty nothing in wood, all is cardboard or particulate and plastic. Stock and banking are based on Dominican Republican. The stock amount is pretty much not existent. You have to pay the different company one by one, because there is not connection, so you actually are not buying at the Ikea. The transport is usually charge and very pricy compare to the other state Ikea, it's almost an insult. Then you have a different company that delivery and another one to install.

You have to get off work (if you have one, because looking like here more than 50% of the population is free to stay home all day) multiple time. The delivery date It's never respected, you maybe get a phone call by the driver than tell you in a random day at random hours: "hey, I'm close to your home, can you come out to pick up your stuff?". Come out? I'm not home you idiot, I'm working and this is not our appointment. By the way don't worry. The driver is alone, even if he has to deliver a kitchen and has to have your help to download the truck. If you can't it's not a big deal, he will just throw off the truck all your item, telling you to don't worry, the package is drop safe.

Taste the stupidity of the general people that I meet here, I am amused about how the island still not in a gang based criminal society.

So back to the driver, he is not capable to fulfill the paperwork (I have 6 delivery at the same address with multiple driver) they can't even find the house. They don't even know how to use the gps in their superexpensive cellphone that never get off their hands.

Then you find out that your shipment is not completed, or you get stuff for another customer.

Well just for a kitchen I have to wait 5 drop off , 1 home visit for the measure, 3 different installing days due to items lack and miss delivery.

The credit discount check is even better. I had to spend 4 month and go there in person to obtain 50 dollar discount check due to the incapacity of all the rappresentative that I wrote and called because they can't read correctly the number on the invoice and they believe that 2 invoiced with just some dollars of different was the same and refuse to give to me the discount.

Shipper company is not responsive. Managers are difficult to find like the gold's pot at the end of the rainbow

This is a picture of what a brand like Ikea shouldn't associate. If you still want to buy there, have fun with the hell it will be in...

I avoid doing reviews of bad stores because sometimes is not in their control what happened, but in this case. IkeaPR is the worst experience I ever had on an Ikea. I live in NY but have a place in PR, wanted to renovate my kitchen so I said..well Ikea in NY is good so let's get it from there, BIG mistake. First it took me almost a month to get in contact with the store kitchen expert, they have an automated system that won't connect you directly it just hangs in an automation message and never routes the call (should have been a message of things to come) sent my father to the store since I was in NY and was planning to travel a month later, he got a hold of someone and finally got something moving, even though she was nice it took almost a week to get my order in (should have taken a hint but I continued) after the order was in I was charged in less than 5 minutes the full amount cash on front and after that, nothing. Called again to get the status and it was delay after delay, so after a month and a half decided to cancel my order. OMG it took the employee 2 Hours and 45 Minutes to cancel (Not his fault but the system he used sucks and took forever). Long story short, no kitchen, they don't really have an idea when parts will arrive and most importantly read the contract, they put in there "will arrive a some point in.....future" so you can really be waiting 2 months to 6 months or longer. Employees where very nice I would give 5 stars to them but this IkeaPR less than 1. Avoid and look for a local to build your kitchen. Worst stores in Puerto Rico, worst employees and worst service. We ordered a bed in august 25 and it's october 16 and still hasn't arrived, they don't call you or anything, they don't tell you what's going on and when it will arrive to your house. Me and my parents have called like 5 times and still nothing, we paid over $309 for the bed and $83 for transportation.

In august 24 in the website, the bed wasn't available, so in august 25 it was available and I'm pretty sure I was the first one to ordered. I ordered a few minutes after it was available. Yet, they seem to not have it available and are still waiting for it to arrive. So the website and employees lie a lot.

I would not recommend anyone to buy from Ikea Puerto Rico. Go to Home Depot, Mueblerias Berrios, Rooms To Go, etc. etc. It will save you a lot of stress and you won't be fooled and scammed by their employees.

Too bad I can't give Ikea PR and their service 0 stars or...
