Sadly I had a very bad experience in Centro del sur mall today! I have shopped at this mall for years, and today I went there with my husband and my small dog! We have a one and half year old Frenchie, he is my husbandâs Emotional Support Dog. My husband is a veteran and his doctors at the VA recommend a dog to help him. We have taken our dog to this mall on various occasions and we Never had any problems, but today the security told us that we had to leave because the dog was not allowed. We informed them that he is an Emotional Support Dog and that we have a document from my husband VA doctor stating this but they said that he was still not allowed.
When this happened my husband was approached by a female security guard and informed about this, he tried to speak to her, explain to her calmly but she really didnât want to listen to what he was trying to say and she became very rude and kept insisting that we had to leave, then a male security guard intervened and he was very polite and understanding and he de-escalated his co-workers attitude.
In the end we decided to leave because this situation made us very uncomfortable.
I would not recommend this mall! Never, Never again!!! If you want a better shopping experience I would recommend Plaza del Caribe! Especially if you are a person that has an Emotional Support Dog because everyone, from security to maintenance are all very kind and understanding people!
Finally people please remember to alway be respectful and responsible pet owners and curb your dogs! Especially in...
Read moreIt's a very small mall, with not much going on. It used to have a lot more variety. The stores that made this mall great, are all gone. Only thing left is marshalls and burlington. The rest is just generic clothing and jewelry. And of course the wannabe dollar store bootleg gamestop with overpriced games.
Keep in mind that this place is not pet friendly. And the mall security tends to really angsty. I recommend coming here, when the anime fair is hosted here. Which is usually at the end of may. That's when the mall gets a bit of life in it.
Other than that. You are better off in plaza del caribe. At least there's more there and it's...
