I sent my quilter's edition Bernina sewing machine to them to get fixed. My husband painstakingly traveled with the huge machine and brought it directly to them. Though it's common for these things to take a while, Moye's Center kept my machine for well over a year with barely any communication on their part. At times I wondered if I had lost my machine entirely, and would have to reach out to make sure they were actually working on it. As to be expected, the repair and especially the shipping back to me cost an arm and a leg. No big deal because I was so happy to finally have my machine back. The machine never worked properly. Never. It skipped stitches and no longer functioned like a Bernina. I kept trying to adjust settings and wondered if I was doing something wrong. Finally, the same error message came back on the machine. It was never properly fixed. Upon contacting Moye's center to ask for a solution, I have heard nothing. What an astronomical waste of money. Did they even check it before sending it back to me? Perhaps they were satisfied enough with the payment. Be very careful who you send your machine to and don't send it to these people. Questions about the machine, what they did, the repair rate and all my questions were answered honestly. I then asked for advice and received a clear description of all the machines and their capabilities and use. Needless to say, I was not so sure about my purchase and I Ieft the store empty handed. Back to the computer and more research. I returned a couple of weeks later with more understanding of what I wanted out of the serger and made a purchase. I have had no regrets. This machine is used almost daily for things for me and others. The service and the honesty was refreshing. Stanley is a straight shooter and has always been willing to help me understand my machines better when I have issues to troubleshoot- even though sharing that information inherently makes me a less frequent customer, as I am able to address a lot of the issues myself that I otherwise would be paying him to resolve. That brand of integrity is rare. . Very reliable service and a great resource of information. I’ve never been pressured into buying anything that I don’t really need, which I very much appreciate.
