Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Company — Local services in Port Lavaca

I've been with Farm Bureau since I started driving over 20 years ago. In all that time all of the agents and people with Farm Bureau have been kind and accommodating every time I've needed to speak to them. My issue is that as kind and nice as the agents are they are (in my experience) often terrible at getting anything done. For instance I submitted a receipt from a locksmith for getting my car unlocked. My agent, Mike Johnson, said he'd get it taken care of. I just got reimbursed... 3 months later. That was after a dozen follow up phone calls, emails, and voice mails with mike and very little return communication. When I worked with Mike to get my home insurance adjusted it literally took 5 months... it should have taken a couple weeks, but he just wouldn't follow through with anything. I had dozens of calls, voicemails, and emails trying to get him to take care of me. I've had similar experiences with other agents. They're nice, they say the right things... but nothing gets done unless you call them every week...

Poor customer service and they don't know anything, my monthly payment was at 240 with 3 vehicles my husband and i on the policy and which it was fine but slowly I saw how my monthly payment started going up by 5 dlls a month, l let it pass and from 240 it went to 280 then it keeped going up until my payment was 310 and I started saying how expensive things were ( was so dumb) then from that it jump by 30 dlls to 340 which I was very confused because it was out of nowhere I called them to ask what was those 30dlls extra in my bill and the person there said she did NOT know...like what??? What do they mean they do NOT know??? I immediately told them I wasn't going to pay them because it was ridiculous, I switched and now I pay...

I was charged more than $2300 with two adults and one college son for many six months periods for my auto insurance. I tried to make an appointment with the agent several times, but got no responses. So I tried to switch to another agent in the same building, but got refused. So I finally switched to a different Insurance Company. With same coverages and added my teen daughter to the insurance, it just costs me $1600 plus. I felt that I was stupid enough not to ditch Farm Bureau earlier. I don't know if they even...
