Valencia at Riverland Model Center — Local services in Port Saint Lucie

We went for the stay and play to check out the community and amenities. Its a fully furnished model home but they will not let you use the stove/oven or washer/dryer. there is a golf cart in the garage but there is a $99 fee to use it to go see everything that they want to sell you. The HOA is higher than the Del Webb communities then they charge you al a carte to use them. It just seems like they really nickel and dime you as they tout their top of the line experience. Our sales guide Fred was very helpful right up until we asked him to help us with a damage claim we had with the pool then he ghosted us. I'm not sure how to feel about this place. They boast "community" yet every community is gated with a security guard. You can't use another communities pool house unless invited. They put all the expensive houses together segregating everyone. Why not put expensive houses next to the lower ones so everyone can mingle? This is a community for scared old folks who want nothing to do with the outside world. The management company is a greed hungry hub. You are paying an hoa for a sports complex and art center yet you still have to pay up to $75 for a class or $170 for a gym membership. It's $5 at the library.
