Jim's Taxidermy and Log Cabin Gifts — Local services in Portage Township

My wife and I are visiting from out of state. We decided to stop in out of curiosity and we had some time to kill. The store was very neat and some of the best mounts I have seen, you can tell there is real time and artistry put into each mount. My favorite was the Perch in the cooler! it's a little place that's kinda hidden on the main road, had the store to ourselves, owner was so friendly and showed us around and chatted with us the whole time, answered any questions we had, he knew the ADA laws and very friendly with our service dogs and didn't make an issue of my service dog not being vested (service dogs are not legally required to wear any identification, but most people don't know that). This was an incredible place to visit. We talked to Jim for a long time. The Log Cabin Gifts part is a fairly standard gift shop. We did find some fun Port Clinton and Ohio things to bring back as gifts to friends and family. The taxidermy is amazing and you can tell Jim has both talent and expertise.
