Farmers Country Market — Local services in Portales

My wife and I shop here a lot for the veggies. A lot of things are a tad overpriced. I met my wife at the Farmers Market. So it's good memories. The deli has become a lot better. My wife said to say that the lady that used to work doing tortillas and bakery runs it and she does a great job! Hopefully, it's clean back there now if you know what I mean there were pests back there from 2020 to 2022 when my wife worked there. The deli guys used to bring a container of roaches and not the kind you smoke. The crawly ones. This is me the wife now 🤣🤣🤣 Big Roachas, The other manager kept it as clean as possible it wasn't her fault it was the boss man Martin's for not taking action. Well new manager and it seems to be getting better!!! I miss my old crew I think there is only 2 left of cashiers and of course the main Bonita and kind managers Eldali, Eleana , and Jasmine the best and all 3 have big hearts!! Just do your work and they are chill!! Toom Toom!! He is an amazing manager, very driven!!! He is an inspiration, I admire his work ethic and not giving up!! ...

This building has been here for years, but don't let that keep you from catching some great deals! Store could use some updating however, I have to give a thumbs up to the butcher in the meat department. Great customer service. If it isn't on the shelf or the way id like it, they prepare it and bring it out to me as I request it. Produce selection is great. My produce is most of the time priced better at farmer's than Walmart. They have home like fresh tortillas made fresh everyday. Western union is available if needed. They used to offer copies but thier machine has been down for like 5 months already. They have a good Selection of liquors, beer, and wine. A bakery is available to order for events and they have a hot deli with delicious hot foods to choose from. Some cashiers or carry outs are snobby but I stick to the ones I know have better customer service skills a couple of them are happy to help and check you out energetically...

i love this grocery store! but lately its been sucking. went a few weeks ago and asked for a sample from the cold case. the lady proceeded to get the sample of what i asked for. some got on her glove while serving the sample. and the lady licked her glove and then gave us the sample. she then got another customer at the hot case and proceeded to get the customer fried chicken when the same gloves . how gross!!!!

today i went here jus to grab a snack and the lady who checked me out i handed her my items to be rung up and she jus looked at me like i was dumb. like say something hello how are u. no instead she insisted on speaking to a customer behind me while still ringing up my items and talking about how she got fired from her last job. exactly you got friend cause obviously you have no customer service skills speaking to the customer behind the customer you are...
