For a pumpkin patch in the city, it wasn't bad. However, this "farm" left a lot to be desired. The U-Pick patch was essentially a swamp of standing water from the rain last week, and most of the pumpkins were rotted out due to this. The pumpkins that were brought in from somewhere else, were really nice and we ended up with a couple from there. Hayland needs staff at the attraction to monitor activities. We thought this would be a good outlet for our toddler (rather than the corn maze), and the entire area was overran by pre-teens who were racing each other on top of the hay bales and knocking them over onto the kids below. When we spoke to staff, they said someone would "talk" to them. No one ever came before we finally left for the 10 minute tractor ride. Yes, it was less than 10 minutes with the following attractions: Corn stalks to the left, roadway to the right. Some narration about the farm, or some sort of interaction with the riders would have been nice. They get three stars for trying, and I am sure this place was nice in their glory days. However it is hard to still be called a farm, when the only farm related activities are an overweight goat and some...

This was my first experience here and I think I should emphasize it was during the time of COVID. Pros: it was not crowded in the least at 10 am on a Sat. We didn't have to make a reservation. I only saw two other cars in the parking lot and one other family picking a pumpkin. (Social distancing was super easy) It is a flat $5 per person (2 year old and up) for a simple corn maze. Buy your pumpkin separate.

Cons: it was very bare bones. Staff seemed a bit scattered. There are signs up referencing what they uses to offer and a token system. Ignore that... It is simply the straight $5 for the maze.

The conclusion our family had was that it was a bit of a let down. It was bare bones. However because of COVID they are likely figuring out the "new normal" like all of us. My daughter is little, so it was a good option for us in that it was quick and easy. It would be a good option for anyone looking for a simple and easy pumpkin purchase. The most exciting bit is...

Beautiful setting and great photo opportunities. But when they created the maze by knocking down the corn, they left all the corn stalks on the ground. So you have to watch your step the whole time to avoid tripping or stepping on parts of stalks still sticking straight up in the path. It was especially annoying when walking against the direction the corn was knocked over because not all the stalks were lying flat down. They need to go through and clear out the path for safety. Also, there was a sign in the parking lot that said no dogs. The girl I was with is very scared of dogs so she was relieved to see the sign. But then someone, who seemed like he might have been the owner or other employee, showed up with a big dog not on a leash. The dog seemed friendly, but it made the girl very nervous and she didn't want to stay. It seems like if you have a rule against dogs, you would not bring...

corn maze? ✅ hayride? ✅ farm animals? ✅ apple cider? ✅ pumpkins? ✅ found a pumpkin patch 15 mins from home that met my needs as an overworked, childless woman desperately clinging to my last bit of childhood whimsy. i found the ducks and goats perfectly agreeable, the pumpkin prices perfectly reasonable, the apple cider perfectly hand-warmable, and the corn maze perfectly lose-yourself-in-and-when-you-decide-you-want-to-get-out-OOPS-it's-an-adventure-now-able. sure, there's bigger, more exciting (and expensive) pumpkin patches, and if you've got the time and money and energy, maybe take your kids there instead. but if you are out of steam and would rather tear your hair out and wear it as a bra than wait in traffic at the sauvie island bridge, this quiet, sweet, peaceful little patch of portland is the spot for you.

My friend, who is a neighbor of this farm, brought me here for the first time this past weekend and I had a blast. Parking was easy, there were wheeled carts to carry your pumpkins on and a place to return them, we got to pet a goat, the prices were fair, and there was a dog named Frankie who was a love bug. Frankie walked right up to my friend and put her paw out to demand attention. When we walked in there was a huge flock of ducks. You can pay $1 to get some feed and toss it out for them. The pumpkins were in fantastic shape. I kept flipping them over expecting there to be rot of some kind, but there never was any. My carve turned out great! I forgot to mention they were growing huge sunflowers and you could cut a stem for $1 each. I’ll definitely be coming back here and bringing friends with me!
