Update! Great job guys. I will always be honest when it feels like the balls being dropped, and with that, I will always be honest when I see an organization take it up a notch and dial things in. Since the CDA location has been under construction I figured I’d give post falls another shot (even though your last response almost made me never return) I decided to try again. And man great job. I wish I would’ve started coming out here sooner. Maybe it was just a weird period when you had first opened but love the new layout, hack squat, and some of the other gear here. The staff is attentive and cleanly! (CDA location should take notes) I see staff actually cleaning equipment not just vacuuming but wiping things down top to bottom and people really caring to keep this place clean and that’s rad! Excited to see you guys adapt and grow. Sorry if you felt attacked, but that wasn’t the intent. But I will gladly give credit where credits due.
Hmm interesting way to respond. I actually compliment Peak quite often. I just wish hygiene/cleanliness, modern equipment, functional amenities, and more structured training programs were a focus rather then just visual aesthetics. Next time id instead of being defensive to constructive criticism you could understand the perspective. This review also has quite a few likes, especially for a google review. Along with my review of the other location. Like i said below it’s a nice aesthetic gym. But it’s also laking in a lot of ways. But thats alright, its growth/learning opportunities. Id love to chat maybe instead of writing me off as a “complainer” take it as an opportunity to gain perspective.
Maaaaan, Peak is getting way to into pickleball…. Such a massive gym with so much wasted space. Tiny weight room, nice views and very aesthetic. Minimal actual use for people actually trying to train or workout. Should be named Peak...
Read moreThe new facility is nice but obviously caters to the new pickleball clientele and abandoned the ones who have been faithful to the Post Falls location for so many years. The weight room is crowded and poorly laid out. The benches and squat racks are so close together you can hardly load the bar without bumping into the person next to you. I've been able to complete only one workout since they opened due to overcrowding and benches/racks being occupied the entire hour and a half I'm there. Additionally, my wife and I were assured for over a year that the poor equipment maintenance, filthy conditions, and chronically late staff members to open the gym at the old location would be remedied by the new place ("please just be patient"), but that is clearly not the case. They even raised the monthly dues while we put up with it! Apparently the sacred pickle ball courts cannot be used for anything else either. My wife and daughter booked a court the other day to get some reps with a volleyball. There was literally no one else in the court area and they were KICKED OFF! "These courts are for pickleball only." The volleyball WASN'T EVEN TOUCHING THE FLOOR. And I guess beer is now being served? Is that how Peak is "inspiring people to reach their greatest potential"? I wonder if the trainers are recommending a couple cold ones as part of their exercise plan from here on out? Honestly, I get it. Peak is getting on the bandwagon of the most recent popular trend to capitalize on profitability and increased membership. They are a business, and businesses operate to make money. I had just hoped they wouldn't have alienated the rest of us in...
Read moreI love writing positive reviews for businesses however, this is not one of those opportunities. My trouble with Peak started a year and a half ago and has continued. I have tried to appreciate your efforts but you have failed me time and time again. This began with a mysterious charge on a debit card I had not used in years. I learned that Peak had recently updated their billing system and in that "lost" my prepayment of the term of the contract. They found it prudent to go through my account and charge a debit card that I enrolled with YEARS prior. I had to dispute that transaction with the bank and even after providing proof of prepayment to Peak I was threatened with a collection agency. (I was 7 months pregnant and not thrilled) The owner called to apologize afterwards which I thought was super sweet (I did not ask for a call but did appreciate the hospitality). I understand, things happen. That was not end of it and the issues continue to present day- I have been attending almost daily now for months. Somehow, my account was flagged TODAY and this forced me to get held up at the front desk again. I was told that my account was not in their system. After rounds of questioning, I was delayed enough to miss my scheduled class time. You have to fight to get into this class and I was looking forward to this all weekend! I'm so upset that this keeps happening. The classes and instructors are absolutely amazing! I really want to like you. How can a corporation have relentless...
