Aroostook Technologies Inc. — Local services in Presque Isle

Now just know that this review is not about punishing this company. It's about my personal experience dealing with them! I just moved into the area 2 months ago. I need internet so I can hunt for jobs and have entertainment as well. So i am browsing to see who offers internet and has good reviews and Aroostook Technologies fits the bill. So i call them and a lady answered and i said I wanted internet. She said ok someone will stop by to see if your able to. Ok great. A week goes by nothing, second week goes by nothing again. So i call again and a man answered this time. I said I never got the answer on internet and nobody reached out to me! So he hurried along and sent someone the next day to check and see if I was able to. The next day a guy was on the roof checking thats great. He finishes up and tells me its perfect you can get internet. I was like thank you. He said someone will reach out to you to get you services. OK. A week goes by nothing, 2 weeks go by nothing, 3 weeks go by nothing. No one reached out again. If this is how bad they are at communicating with a brand new client then what is the rest of the services going to be like. So this review is a fair assumption of the companies attitude in business. I don't want any part of it for sure. Thanks for wait wait...

Aroostook Technologies has been our ISP for over 15 years. We've been very pleased with their service and have absolutely no complaints.

Their staff is on the ball, courteous, knowledgeable, professional. If you need to ring them, a real live rep answers the phone (none of this holding on forever while some recording tells you to wait all while assuring you how "important" your call is to them). If you must call after business hours for anything urgent, a tech is always on-call and usually responds within minutes. If you need any assistance, a tech will either walk you through to resolve the issue or will go directly to your home to troubleshoot and fix the problem. And btw, even though we live in a heavily wooded area in Mapleton, picture quality is great and quick changing from channel to channel. Worst experience ever. I had a minimally cracked computer screen I wanted fixed, and they told me they could repair it. They ended up not being able to find a replacement screen, so a few days later I went to go get my computer and not only was it cracked even more across the whole bottom screen, it now no longer even works on its own. I have to hook it up to another source to be able to use it. I am furious. 800 dollar computer. No offer of a partial reimbursement or NOTHING. Also, apparently it costs 37 dollars to hit search engines on ebay because they charged me for doing research that yielded nothing.I honestly cannot believe these people have been in business for 50 years. Place needs to be shut down....
