I had been looking for a new washer/dryer set for several days and was not able to find one. I specifically wanted a used pair with a top load washer. I had found one at another used appliance store in the area that would work but it didn't make me super happy and customer service was lacking. At the last minute I saw this place on Google Maps and noticed the reviews were high. I decided to stop in, and I'm glad I did. When I entered the shop, Joanna greeted me and asked what specifically I was looking for and showed me a few options. She apologized and said that typically they kept more in stock but had sold many recently. Joanna then offered me a bottle of water, as the temperatures were 100 today and it was brutal outside. What Joanna probably doesn't know till now, is that the small gesture of offering me a bottle of water made this place a sell. Customer service goes along way, and she nailed it. Overall, the shop was clean and you could tell that the products, both new and used, were taken care of thoroughly cleaned. I certainly would recommend this family owned business to all my friends and family looking for appliances. As I was leaving, Joanna handed me two more bottles of water and said, take these for the road! Thank you Joanna and...
Read moreI didn’t like my experience at Best Appliance. From the moment I walked in on Saturday, the service felt unprofessional. The woman who helped me seemed uninterested and clearly lacked product knowledge. She gave me the business card of someone named Edwin, who was supposed to explain fridge repairs and refurbished options. I called twice — both times it went to voicemail, and I never received a call back.
On Monday, I called again and spoke to a man with a slight Hispanic accent who couldn’t give me even a ballpark estimate. He said it might be “a thousand or more,” and dismissed my questions. Then he hung up on me. What bothered me most was the attitude — as if speaking to a technician was a privilege, and their time was too valuable for someone like me. It was condescending and made me feel like I wasn’t worth their time.
Overall, the lack of communication, follow-up, and respect made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. I’ve since found another place in McKinney where the associate clearly explained pricing and sent someone out for a $70 diagnostic visit. I won’t be returning to Best Appliance and can’t recommend them based on how I...
Read moreI am having the worst experience with these place. When my washer broke down, Home warranty of America recommended them to me and sure enough Edwin came out to take a look at it. The minute it was diagnosed it wasn’t repairable they failed to notify me and I had to follow up to find out. It’s been close to two weeks and I am still without a washer and Home warranty of America keeps informing me they have yet to receive the diagnosis of the washer. When I call Edwin he keeps telling me to call his wife Karla. I have tried numerous times calling her, left her messages, and even tried texting her as Edwin has advised me and no luck of getting a hold of her. When it comes to customer service, they seem to not take care of the customer or have the decency of returning a call. I would not recommend their services at all nor will be recommending them to anyone. Stay away...
